Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Sawi hijau (Brassica juncea L.) pada sistem hidroponik Deep Flow Technique (DFT) dapat
menunjukkan respons fisiologi dan hasil yang berbeda akibat perbedaan media tanam dan varietas.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh media tanam, varietas, serta interaksi keduanya terhadap
fisiologi dan hasil tanaman sawi hijau pada sistem hidroponik DFT. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Februari–
Maret 2026 di Greenhouse Dusun Gupakan, Desa Srowot, Kecamatan Kalibagor, Kabupaten Banyumas dan
Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Penelitian
menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split-Plot) dengan media tanam sebagai petak utama, yaitu
rockwool (M1), arang sekam (M2), dan cocopeat (M3), serta varietas sebagai anak petak, yaitu Shinta (V1),
Tosakan (V2), dan Kumala (V3). Sembilan kombinasi perlakuan diulang tiga kali sehingga diperoleh 27 unit
percobaan. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dan DMRT taraf 5%. Media tanam berpengaruh nyata
terhadap ILD 21 HST, LPT, volume akar, dan bobot kering tajuk. Rockwool menghasilkan ILD 0,89, LPT
6,66 g m⁻² hari⁻¹, dan bobot kering tajuk 2,53 g, sedangkan volume akar tertinggi diperoleh pada cocopeat
sebesar 3,54 cm³. Varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap SPAD 21 dan 28 HST serta nyata terhadap
ILD 21 HST dan kerapatan stomata. Shinta menghasilkan SPAD 33,17 dan 35,26 pada 21 dan 28 HST, ILD
0,64, serta kerapatan stomata 413,45 stomata mm⁻². Interaksi media tanam × varietas berpengaruh nyata
terhadap LAB, dengan M1V3 tertinggi sebesar 1,31 mg cm⁻² hari⁻¹ dan M3V3 terendah sebesar 0,40 mg
cm⁻² hari⁻¹.

different physiological and yield responses due to differences in growing media and varieties. This study
aimed to determine the effects of growing media, varieties, and their interaction on the physiology and yield
of mustard green under DFT hydroponics. The experiment was conducted from February to March 2026 in
a greenhouse in Gupakan Hamlet, Srowot Village, Kalibagor District, Banyumas Regency, and at the
Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. A Split-
Plot Design was used, with rockwool (M1), rice husk charcoal (M2), and cocopeat (M3) as main plots and
Shinta (V1), Tosakan (V2), and Kumala (V3) as subplots. Nine treatment combinations were replicated three
times, resulting in 27 experimental units. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and DMRT at 5%. Growing
media significantly affected LAI at 21 days after planting, crop growth rate, root volume, and shoot dry
weight. Rockwool produced LAI of 0.89, crop growth rate of 6.66 g m⁻² day⁻¹, and shoot dry weight of 2.53
g, whereas cocopeat produced the highest root volume of 3.54 cm³. Variety had highly significant effects on
SPAD at 21 and 28 days after planting and significant effects on LAI at 21 days and stomatal density. Shinta
produced SPAD values of 33.17 and 35.26, LAI of 0.64, and stomatal density of 413.45 stomata mm⁻². The
interaction between growing media and variety significantly affected net assimilation rate, with M1V3
producing 1.31 mg cm⁻² day⁻¹ and M3V3 producing 0.40 mg cm⁻² day⁻¹.
