Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Kawasan Ekosistem Esensial (KEE) Mangrove Muara Kali Ijo merupakan kawasan rehabilitasi yang penting bagi kestabilan pesisir dengan struktur vegetasi dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik sedimen dan bahan organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur vegetasi mangrove berdasarkan karakteristik sedimen dan bahan organik di KEE Muara Kali Ijo, Kebumen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei lapangan yang dilanjutkan dengan analisis laboratorium. Data struktur vegetasi mangrove dan sampel sedimen diambil pada empat stasiun pengamatan yang mewakili tingkat pertumbuhan semai, pancang, dan pohon. Analisis fraksi sedimen dilakukan dengan metode Buchanan, sedangkan kandungan bahan organik dianalisis menggunakan metode Loss on Ignition (LOI). Struktur vegetasi mangrove dianalisis menggunakan Indeks Nilai Penting, indeks keanekaragaman, dan indeks keseragaman, sedangkan hubungan antarvariabel dianalisis menggunakan Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur vegetasi mangrove didominasi oleh spesies Rhizophora mucronata dan Rhizophora apiculata pada seluruh tingkat pertumbuhan. Karakteristik sedimen di lokasi penelitian pada fraksi lumpur berkisar antara 61,277% hingga 65,259%, pasir sebesar 24,758% hingga 27,830%, dan kerikil sebesar 9,643% hingga 11,874%, sedangkan kandungan bahan organik sebesar 14,44 % hingga 20,60%. Hasil PCA menunjukkan bahwa struktur vegetasi mangrove memiliki hubungan erat dengan karakteristik sedimen dan bahan organik, sehingga kondisi substrat menjadi faktor utama dalam mendukung regenerasi mangrove di kawasan tersebut.

Inggris)The Essential Ecosystem Area (EEA) of Muara Kali Ijo Mangrove is an important rehabilitation area for coastal stability, with vegetation structure influenced by sediment characteristics and organic matter. This study aims to examine the vegetation structure of the mangrove based on sediment characteristics and organic matter in KEE Muara Kali Ijo, Kebumen. The research method used was a field survey followed by laboratory analysis. The vegetation structure and sediment samples were collected at four observation stations that represent the growth levels of seedlings, saplings, and trees. Sediment fraction analysis was done using the Buchanan method, and organic matter content was analyzed using the Loss on Ignition (LOI) method. The structure of mangrove vegetation is analyzed using the Importance Value Index, diversity index, and evenness index, while the relationship between variables is analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA). The research results show that the mangrove vegetation structure is mainly made up of the species Rhizophora mucronata and Rhizophora apiculata at all growth levels. The sediment characteristics at the research site show that the clay fraction ranges from 61.277% to 65.259%, sand ranges from 24.758% to 27.830%, and gravel ranges from 9.643% to 11.874%.The organic matter content is between 14.44% and 20.60%. The PCA results show that the structure of mangrove vegetation is closely linked to sediment and organic matter characteristics, meaning that substrate conditions are a key factor in supporting mangrove regeneration in the area.
