Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Latar Belakang: Perkembangan olahraga lari cukup pesat dan diikuti meningkatnya jumlah pelari rekreasional yang memerlukan VO2max yang baik. VO2max merupakan indikator daya tahan kardiorespirasi yang dapat dipengaruhi kadar hemoglobin dan tingkat kecukupan protein. Kebutuhan protein berbeda pada hari latihan dan tidak latihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kadar hemoglobin, tingkat kecukupan protein hari latihan, dan tidak latihan dengan VO2max pelari rekreasional di wilayah Kabupaten Banyumas.
Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang. Sampel berjumlah 48 pelari rekreasional di Kabupaten Banyumas berusia 20-39 tahun. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data kadar hemoglobin diperoleh menggunakan easy touch GCHb, data asupan protein diperoleh dari recall 24-hours, dan data VO2max diperoleh dari cooper test 2,4 km. Analisis data menggunakan uji pearson product moment untuk variabel kadar hemoglobin dan independent t-test untuk variabel tingkat kecukupan protein dengan nilai signifikan p<0,05.
Hasil Penelitian: Karakteristik responden berusia 20-29 tahun (77,1%), IMT normal (79,1%0, massa otot kurang (laki-laki 96,9%; perempuan 93,8%) dan persen lemak tubuh kategori acceptable (37,5%). Kadar hemoglobin responden normal (laki-laki 96,9%; perempuan 75%), Tingkat kecukupan protein cukup pada hari latihan (68,8%) dan tidak latihan (77,1%). Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara tingkat kecukupan protein hari latihan dengan VO2max (p=0,036). Tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara kadar hemoglobin laki-laki dan perempuan (p=0,964 dan p=0,939) serta tingkat kecukupan protein hari tidak latihan dengan VO2max (p=0,190).
Kesimpulan: Tingkat kecukupan protein hari latihan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan VO2max, sedangkan kadar hemoglobin dan tingkat kecukupan protein hari tidak latihan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan VO2max.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Background: The sport of running has grown rapidly, accompanied by an increase in the number of recreational runners who need a good VO2max. VO2max is an indicator of cardiorespiratory endurance that can be influenced by hemoglobin levels and protein intake. Protein requirements differ between training and non-training days. This study aims to analyze the relationship between hemoglobin levels, protein intake on training days and non-training days, and VO2max in recreational runners in Banyumas Regency.
Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 48 recreational runners in Banyumas Regency aged 20–39 years. Participants were selected using consecutive sampling. Hemoglobin level data were obtained using the Easy Touch GCHb, protein intake data were obtained from a 24-hour recall, and VO2max data were obtained from the 2.4-km Cooper test. Data analysis used the Pearson product-moment correlation test for the hemoglobin level variable and an independent t-test for the protein adequacy level variable, with a significance level of p<0.05.
Research result: Characteristics of the respondents: aged 20–29 years (77,1%), normal BMI (79,1%), low muscle mass (men 96,9%; women 93,8%), and body fat percentage in the “acceptable” category (37,5%). Respondents hemoglobin levels were normal (men 96,9%; women 75%), and protein intake was adequate on training days (68,8%) and non-training days (77,1%). There was a significant association between protein adequacy on training days and VO₂max (p=0,036). There was no significant association between hemoglobin levels in men and women (p=0,964 and p=0,939) or between protein adequacy on non-training days and VO2max (p=0,190).
Conclusion: Protein intake on training days is significantly associated with VO2max, whereas hemoglobin levels and protein intake on non-training days are not significantly associated with VO2max.
