| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui dan menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik perusahaan terhadap sturuktur modal dalam sudut pandang Pecking Order theory. termasuk karakteristik perusahaan adalah profitabilitas, likuiditas, ukuran perusahaan, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan perusahaan, risiko bisnis dan kepemilikan institusional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan property dan real estate yang terdaftar di bursa efek Indonesia tahun 2009-2011. Dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling di peroleh sample sebanyak 24 perusahaan. Menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa profitabilitas, likuiditas dan stuktur aktiva terbukti berpengaruh negatif terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan ukuran perusahaan, pertumbuhan perusahaan, risiko bisnis dan kepemilikan institusional tidak terbukti mempunyai pengaruh terhadap struktur modal perusahaan |

Inggris) | This purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of the firm characteristics on capital structure in Pecking Order theory perspective. including firm characteristics are profitability, liquidity, firm size, asset structure, growth, business risk and institutional ownership. The population in this study are all property and real estate companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2009-2011. By using purposive sampling method in obtaining a sample of 24 companies. Using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that the profitability, liquidity and asset structure proved negative effect on capital structure, while firm size, firm growth, business risk and institutional ownership is not shown to have an influence on the capital structure of the company. |
