| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Hulu Sungai Pemali, Kabupaten Brebes, menghadapi tekanan antropogenik seperti pasar, pabrik kayu, pemukiman, dan lahan pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik fisik-kimia perairan, struktur komunitas makrozoobenthos (keanekaragaman, keseragaman, dominansi), dan status kualitas perairan menggunakan Family Biotic Index (FBI). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di tiga stasiun dengan purposive sampling sebanyak tiga kali interval dua minggu. Parameter fisika-kimia meliputi suhu, arus, kecerahan, kedalaman, pH, dan DO BOD diukur dengan titrasi di Laboratorium FPIK, sedangkan total nitrogen dianalisis di BB Lab. Kesehatan Masyarakat Yogyakarta. Sampel makrozoobenthos diambil menggunakan Surber Net (30×40 cm) dan diidentifikasi hingga genus. Data dianalisis menggunakan indeks Shannon-Wiener (H'), keseragaman (E), dominansi Simpson (C), FBI, PCA, dan One-Way ANOVA. Ditemukan 768 individu dari 3 kelas, 17 famili, dan 22 spesies. Nilai H' 2,03–2,48 (sedang), E 0,82–0,92 (tinggi), dan C 0,10–0,18 (rendah). Nilai FBI 4,51–4,77 (kategori "Baik"), dengan interpretasi semakin rendah FBI semakin baik kualitas perairan. PCA menunjukkan Stasiun 1 berasosiasi dengan DO, arus, dan kecerahan; Stasiun 2 dengan BOD; Stasiun 3 dengan suhu, pH, dan kedalaman. Uji One-Way ANOVA menunjukkan hanya suhu yang berbeda signifikan antar stasiun (p=0,049). Berdasarkan seluruh indeks, Stasiun 3 memiliki kualitas perairan terbaik (FBI terendah, H' tertinggi, C terendah, E tinggi). | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The upstream of Pemali River, Brebes Regency, faces anthropogenic pressures such as markets, wood factories, settlements, and agricultural land. This study aims to analyze the physicochemical characteristics of the water, macrozoobenthos community structure (diversity, evenness, dominance), and water quality status using the Family Biotic Index (FBI). Sampling was conducted at three stations using purposive sampling, repeated three times at two-week intervals. Physicochemical parameters included temperature, current, clarity, depth, pH, and DO; BOD was measured by titration at the FPIK Laboratory, while total nitrogen was analyzed at the Yogyakarta Public Health Laboratory. Macrozoobenthos samples were collected using a Surber Net (30×40 cm) and identified to genus level. Data were analyzed using Shannon-Wiener (H'), evenness (E), Simpson dominance (C), FBI, PCA, and One-Way ANOVA. A total of 768 individuals from 3 classes, 17 families, and 22 species were found. H' ranged from 2.03 to 2.48 (moderate), E ranged from 0.82 to 0.92 (high), and C ranged from 0.10 to 0.18 (low). FBI values ranged from 4.51 to 4.77, categorizing water as "Good", where lower scores indicate better quality. PCA showed Station 1 associated with DO, current, and clarity; Station 2 with BOD; and Station 3 with temperature, pH, and depth. One-Way ANOVA showed only temperature differed significantly (p=0.049). Based on all indices, Station 3 had the best quality (lowest FBI, highest H', lowest C, high E). |
