| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Seledri (Apium graveolens L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman hortikultura yang populer di Indonesia dan berpotensi tinggi untuk dikembangkan. Namun, budidayanya masih terbatas pada skala kecil. Pertumbuhan seledri dipengaruhi oleh media tanam dan didukung dengan pemupukan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di screen house yang terletak di Desa Serang, Kecamatan Karangreja, Kabupaten Purbalingga pada ketinggian ±1.200 m dpl dan Laboratorium Ilmu Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam, yaitu M1 = Tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:1:1), M2 = Tanah : kompos : arang sekam (2:1:1) dan M3 = Tanah : kompos : arang sekam (3:1:1). Faktor kedua adalah aplikasi Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB), yaitu P0 = PSB 0 mL/L (Tanpa PSB), P1 = PSB 10 mL/L dan P3 = PSB 20 mL/L. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan komposisi media tanam berpengaruh terhadap variabel jumlah daun dan bobot segar tanaman. Perlakuan M1 menghasilkan jumlah daun tertinggi (36,02 helai), sedangkan perlakuan M2 menghasilkan bobot segar tertinggi (12,60 g). Aplikasi PSB tidak berpengaruh terhadap seluruh variabel pengamatan. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara komposisi media tanam dan aplikasi PSB terhadap seluruh variabel pengamatan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Celery (Apium graveolens L.) is one of the most popular horticultural crops in Indonesia and has great potential for development. However, it’s cultivation is still limited to a small scale. Celery growth is influenced by the growing medium and supported by fertilization. This study was conducted in a screen house located in Serang Village, Karangreja Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency, at an elevation of approximately 1.200 m above sea level, and at the Soil Science Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK). The first factor was the growing medium composition, namely M1 = Soil : compost : rice husk charcoal (1:1:1), M2 = Soil : compost : rice husk charcoal (2:1:1), and M3 = Soil : compost : rice husk charcoal (3:1:1). The second factor was the application of Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB), namely P0 = 0 mL/L PSB (without PSB), P1 = 10 mL/L PSB, and P3 = 20 mL/L PSB. The results showed that the composition of the growing medium affected the number of leaves and the fresh weight of the plants. Treatment M1 produced the highest number of leaves (36,02 leaves), while treatment M2 produced the highest fresh weight (12,60 g). The application of PSB had no effect on any of the observed variables. There was no interaction between the growing medium composition and the application of PSB on any of the observed variables. |
