Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Laboratorium Fakultas Teknik Universitas Jenderal Soedirman memiliki berbagai
potensi bahaya akibat penggunaan mesin, peralatan listrik, dan bahan praktikum
yang dapat meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan kerja. Penyusunan prosedur
keselamatan kerja memerlukan identifikasi bahaya, penilaian risiko, serta analisis
aktivitas kerja secara sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi potensi
bahaya, menilai tingkat risiko menggunakan metode Hazard Identification, Risk
Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC), serta menganalisis aktivitas dengan
risiko prioritas menggunakan Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Penelitian menggunakan
pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif pada laboratorium enam program studi di Fakultas
Teknik Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi
langsung menggunakan checklist bahaya dan wawancara terstruktur dengan kepala
laboratorium, laboran, teknisi, dan asisten laboratorium. Penilaian risiko dilakukan
menggunakan metode HIRARC berdasarkan nilai likelihood dan severity. Aktivitas
dengan kategori risiko tertinggi dipilih sebagai prioritas analisis menggunakan
metode JSA. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan lima jenis bahaya, yaitu fisika,
mekanik, kimia, biologi, dan ergonomi, dengan bahaya fisika sebagai jenis bahaya
yang paling dominan. Penilaian risiko menghasilkan kategori Low, Moderate, High,
dan Very High, dengan mayoritas potensi bahaya berada pada kategori Low.
Aktivitas pemotongan material menggunakan mesin Laser Cutting dipilih sebagai
contoh implementasi HIRARC dan JSA. Hasil JSA menguraikan aktivitas menjadi
sebelas elemen kerja sehingga potensi bahaya dan rekomendasi pengendalian dapat
diidentifikasi secara lebih rinci berdasarkan Hierarchy of Controls. Integrasi
metode HIRARC dan JSA mampu mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya, menentukan
aktivitas dengan risiko prioritas, serta menghasilkan rekomendasi pengendalian
yang lebih spesifik pada setiap elemen kerja sehingga dapat mendukung
peningkatan keselamatan kerja di laboratorium pendidikan.

Soedirman contain various potential hazards arising from the use of machinery,
electrical equipment, and laboratory materials, which may increase the risk of
occupational accidents. Developing effective safety procedures requires systematic
hazard identification, risk assessment, and job activity analysis. This study aimed
to identify workplace hazards, assess risk levels using the Hazard Identification,
Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method, and analyze high-risk
activities using Job Safety Analysis (JSA). This study employed a descriptive
qualitative approach involving laboratories from six study programs at the Faculty
of Engineering, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Primary data were collected
through direct observations using a hazard checklist and structured interviews with
laboratory heads, laboratory technicians, and laboratory assistants. Risk
assessment was conducted using the HIRARC method based on likelihood and
severity scores. Activities with the highest risk category were selected for further
analysis using the JSA method. The hazard identification process revealed five
categories of hazards: physical, mechanical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic,
with physical hazards being the most dominant. Risk assessment classified the
identified hazards into four categories: Low, Moderate, High, and Very High, with
most hazards falling within the Low category. The material cutting operation using
a laser cutting machine was selected as the representative high-risk activity for
HIRARC and JSA implementation. The JSA decomposed the activity into eleven
work steps, enabling more detailed identification of hazards and the formulation of
risk control recommendations based on the Hierarchy of Controls. The integration
of HIRARC and JSA effectively identified workplace hazards, determined priority-
risk activities, and produced more specific risk control recommendations for each
work step. The findings support the development of safer work procedures and
contribute to improving occupational safety in educational laboratories.
