Indonesia) | Ikan layang benggol (Decapterus russelli) merupakan salah satu ikan pelagis kecil yang banyak didaratkan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Pekalongan sehingga pemanfaatannya perlu dikelola secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengestimasi potensi lestari ikan layang benggol berdasarkan data produksi dan upaya penangkapan tahun 2016–2025. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode survei menggunakan data statistik perikanan tangkap PPN Pekalongan. Analisis dilakukan melalui perhitungan Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), standardisasi upaya menggunakan Fishing Power Index (FPI), serta model Fox dan Walters–Hilborn. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model Fox menghasilkan Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) sebesar 2.143.077 kg/tahun dan upaya penangkapan optimum (Fopt) sebesar 919 trip/tahun. Total Allowable Catch (TAC) yang diperoleh sebesar 1.714.462 kg/tahun. Model Walters–Hilborn belum dapat digunakan karena nilai koefisien kemampuan tangkap (q) dan daya dukung lingkungan (K) bernilai negatif. Tingkat pemanfaatan ikan layang benggol pada tahun 2016–2022 berada pada kondisi overexploited, tahun 2023 moderately exploited, dan tahun 2024–2025 lightly exploited. Hasil pendugaan potensi lestari selanjutnya mengacu pada model Fox sebagai dasar pengelolaan perikanan ikan layang benggol.

Inggris) | Indian scad (Decapterus russelli) is one of the small pelagic fish species frequently landed at the Nusantara Pekalongan Fishing Port, requiring sustainable management of its utilization. This study aimed to estimate the sustainable yield of Indian scad based on production and fishing effort data from 2016 to 2025. The study was conducted using a survey method with fishery statistics data from the Nusantara Pekalongan Fishing Port (PPN Pekalongan). Data analysis included Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), fishing effort standardization using the Fishing Power Index (FPI), and the Fox and Walters–Hilborn models. The results showed that the Fox model estimated a Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) of 2,143,077 kg/year and an optimum fishing effort (Fopt) of 919 trips/year. The Total Allowable Catch (TAC) was 1,714,462 kg/year. The Walters–Hilborn model could not be applied because the catchability coefficient (q) and carrying capacity (K) were negative. The exploitation level was overexploited during 2016–2022, moderately exploited in 2023, and lightly exploited during 2024–2025.
