Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Disposal area pada tambang terbuka merupakan tempat penimbunan material tanah
penutup yang harus direncanakan secara cermat agar lereng tetap stabil dan aman dari
longsoran. Stabilitas lereng disposal dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik material timbunan,
perubahan kondisi material, serta curah hujan yang dapat memicu terbentuknya bidang
gelincir. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT. Bina Sarana Sukses Jobsite PT. Manambang
Muara Enim, Sumatera Selatan, dengan tujuan menganalisis kestabilan timbunan
menggunakan metode Waste Dump and Stockpile Stability Rating and Hazard
Classification System (WSRHC). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa timbunan
memiliki bobot kestabilan sebesar 20 dan termasuk kategori IV (risiko tinggi), dengan
nilai Engineering Geology Index (EGI) sebesar -4 dan Design and Performance Index
(DPI) sebesar 24. Upaya yang direkomendasikan meliputi investigasi bawah
permukaan, pengujian laboratorium, analisis stabilitas terperinci, pengaturan tahapan
konstruksi, serta peningkatan monitoring untuk meminimalkan risiko longsor pada
disposal area.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)A disposal area in open-pit mining is a location for dumping overburden material that
must be carefully planned to ensure slope stability and prevent landslides. The stability
of disposal slopes is influenced by the characteristics of the fill material, changes in
material conditions, and rainfall that can trigger the formation of slip surfaces. This
study was conducted at PT. Bina Sarana Sukses Jobsite PT. Manambang Muara Enim,
South Sumatra, with the aim of analyzing dump stability using the Waste Dump and
Stockpile Stability Rating and Hazard Classification (WSRHC) System method. The
analysis results showed that the dump has a stability score of 20 and is classified as
Category IV (high risk), with an Engineering Geology Index (EGI) value of -4 and a
Design and Performance Index (DPI) value of 24. Recommended efforts include
subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, detailed stability analysis, proper
construction stage management, and increased monitoring to minimize the risk of
landslides in the disposal area.
