| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Aspek Reproduksi Ikan Tawes (Barbonymus gonionotus) di hilir Sungai Serayu, Kecamatan Kebasen, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah”. Ikan tawes merupakan ikan spesies asli Indonesia yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi sebagai ikan konsumsi dan sumber protein hewani. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis rasio kelamin, indeks gonado somatik (IGS), indeks hepato somatik (IHS), dan indeks visceral somatik (IVS) ikan tawes di hilir Sungai Serayu, Kecamatan Kebasen, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan November–Desember 2025 di hilir Sungai Serayu, tepatnya pada stasiun Gambarsari dan Kebasen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasio kelamin ikan tawes berada dalam kondisi ideal dengan perbandingan 1:1,2. IGS ikan jantan berkisar 8,63-9,11% dan ikan betina 9,93-9,88%, IHS ikan jantan berkisar 0,90-0,97% dan ikan betina 1,67-1,76%, sedangkan IVS ikan jantan berkisar 3,27-3,59% dan ikan betina 3,67-3,78%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, ikan tawes di hilir Sungai Serayu, Kecamatan Kebasen sudah matang gonad. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study is entitled “Reproductive Aspects of the Tawes Fish (Barbonymus gonionotus) in the Downstream Serayu River, Kebasen Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, Central Java”. Tawes fish is a spesies native to Indonesia that holds high economic value as a food fish and a source of animal protein. The purpose of this study was to analyse the sex ratio, gonadosomatic index (GSI), hepatosomatic index (HSI), viscerosomatic index (VSI) of tawes fish in the Downstream Serayu River, Kebasen District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. This study used survey methods with purposive sampling. The data were analysed descriptively and quantitatively. Sampling was carried out in November-Desember 2025 in the downstream Serayu River at Gambarsari and Kebasen stations. The results showed that the sex ratio of tawes fish was in an ideal condition with a ratio of 1:1,2. IGS for male fish ranged from 8,63-9,11% and for female fish 9,93-9,88%. IHS for male fish ranged from 0,90-0,97% and for female fish 1,67-1,76%, whilst IVS for male fish ranged 3,27-3,59% and for female fish 3,67-3,78%. The conclusion of this study is that tawes fish in downstream Serayu River, Kebasen District have reached gonadal maturity. |
