Bahan Kering dan Bahan Organik Rumput Pakchong" dilaksanakan pada 12 November 2025 -

12 Januari 2026 di Lahan Experimental Farm, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Purwokerto, Karangwangkal, Kecamatan Purwokerto utara, Kabupaten Banyumas dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi level kompos yang berbeda pada sistem tanam tumpangsari pakchong dengan gamal yang ditinjau dari produksi berat segar, berat kering, dan bahan organik. Materi yang digunakan yaitu pupuk kompos dengan dosis 0 ton/ha, 15 ton/ha, dan 30 ton/ha, stek rumput pakchong yang ditanam sebanyak 24 petak dengan sistem tanam tumpangsari dan monokultur. Lahan yang digunakan mempunyai luas 172,8 m2. setiap petak berukuran 3 m x 2,4 m dengan jarak antar tanaman 0,8 m x 0,6 m. metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimental menggunakan Split Plot Design. Sebagai Main Plot (A) pada penelitian yaitu sistem tanam yang terdiri dari sistem tanam monokultur (A0) dan sistem tanam tumpangsari (A1) dan Sub Plot (B) yang terdiri dari pupuk kompos level 0 ton/ha (B0), 15 ton/ha (B1), dan 30 ton/ha (B2). Penelitian dianalisis menggunakan anova dan uji lanjut menggunakan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNI) menggunakan taraf 5% pada setiap perlakuan. Perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kelompok ulangan. Hasil penelitian tidak menunjukan pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) interaksi antara sistem tanam (A) dengan level kompos (B) terhadap produksi berat segar, bahan kering, dan bahan organik rumput pakchong. Analisis variansi (ANOVA) perlakuan individu sistem tem tanam berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap produksi berat segar, bahan kering, dan bahan organik tumput pakchong. Sedangkan perlakuan individu pemberian level kompos berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap produksi berat segar rumput pakchong, akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap produksi bahan kering dan bahan organik rumput pakchong. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulan bahwa perlakuan sistem tanam tumpangsari dengan pemupukan level kompos 15 ton/ha mampu meningkatkan performa produksi berat segar, bahan kering, dan bahan organik rumput pakchong.

Inggris)The research entitled "The Effectiveness of Compost Levels and Intercropping Systems on the Dry Matter and Organic Matter Production of Pakchong Grass" was conducted from 12 November hong Grass was conducted from 1 2025 to 12 January 2026 at the Experimental Farm of Jenderal Soedirman University, Karangwangkal, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. The study aimed to evaluate the effects of different compost application levels under a Pakchong grass-Gamal intercropping system on fresh weight, dry matter, and organic matter production. The materials used in this study included compost fertilizer applied at rates of 0, 15, and 30 tons/ha, and Pakchong grass stem cuttings planted in 24 plots under intercropping and monoculture systems. The experimental field covered an area of 172.8 m². Each plot measured 3 m x 2,4 m, with a planting spacing of 0,8 m x 0,6 m. The research employed an experimental method using a split-plot design. The main plot factor (A) was the planting system, consisting of monoculture (A0) and intercropping (A1) systems. The subplot factor (B) consisted of compost application levels of 0 ton/ha (B0), 15 ton/ha (B1), and 30 ton/ha (B2). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and significant differences among treatments were further tested using Tukey's Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at the 5% significance level. Each treatment was replicated four times. The results showed that there was no significant interaction (P > 0,05) between the planting system (A) and compost level (B) on the fresh weight yield, dry matter yield, and organic matter production of Pakchong grass. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) indicated that the individual effect of the planting system significantly affected (P < 0,05) fresh weight yield, dry matter yield, and organic matter production of Pakchong grass. Meanwhile, the individual effect of compost application levels significantly affected (P < 0,05) the fresh weight yield of Pakchong grass but had no significant effect (P > 0,05) on dry matter yield and organic matter production. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the intercropping system combined with a compost application rate of 15 tons/ha was able to improve the production performance of Pakchong grass in terms of fresh weight yield, dry matter yield, and organic matter production
