Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini berjudul evaluasi pemberian eco-enzyme berbahan dasar buah pepaya (Carica papaya L.) pada media pemeliharaan ikan lele (Clarias sp.). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dosis eco-enzyme berbahan dasar buah pepaya (Carica papaya L.) terhadap parameter kualitas air (suhu, pH, TDS, nitrit, TOM, alkalinitas) dan mortalitas ikan lele (Clarias sp.), serta menentukan dosis terbaik. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dosis eco-enzyme: P0 (0 mL/L), P1 (5 mL/L), P2 (10 mL/L), dan P3 (15 mL/L) dengan 3 ulangan selama 21 hari pemeliharaan. Data suhu, pH, dan TDS dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), sedangkan alkalinitas, TOM, nitrit, dan mortalitas dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian eco-enzyme tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap perubahan suhu, pH, dan TDS. Kadar nitrit terukur sama sebesar 1 mg/L dan TOM tergolong tinggi. Meskipun demikian, penambahan eco-enzyme mampu menekan tingkat kematian ikan lele. Mortalitas tertinggi terjadi pada kontrol P0 (73%), sedangkan penambahan eco-enzyme menurunkan mortalitas menjadi 27% (P1), 13% (P2), dan 37% (P3). Dosis 10 mL/L (P2) memberikan respon terbaik dengan tingkat mortalitas terendah (13%). Kesimpulannya, eco-enzyme pepaya efektif menekan mortalitas ikan lele, namun disarankan penggunaan dosis lebih rendah serta manajemen pergantian air berkala untuk mencegah akumulasi beban organik berlebih.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)A study entitled evaluation of the provision of eco-enzymes made from papaya fruit (Carica papaya L.) in catfish (Clarias sp.) maintenance media. Research purposes to analyze the effect of papaya (Carica papaya L.) fruit-based eco-enzyme doses on water quality parameters (temperature, pH, TDS, nitrite, TOM, alkalinity) and catfish (Clarias sp.) mortality, as well as to determine the optimal dosage. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed with four eco-enzyme treatments: P0 (0 mL/L), P1 (5 mL/L), P2 (10 mL/L), and P3 (15 mL/L), each replicated three times over a 21-day rearing period. Temperature, pH, and TDS data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), while alkalinity, TOM, nitrite, and mortality were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that eco-enzyme administration had no significant effect on temperature, pH, and TDS. Nitrite levels remained constant at 1 mg/L, and TOM levels were high. However, eco-enzyme addition significantly suppressed catfish mortality. The highest mortality occurred in the control P0 (73%), whereas eco-enzyme treatments reduced mortality to 27% (P1), 13% (P2), and 37% (P3). The 10 mL/L dose (P2) yielded the best response with the lowest mortality rate (13%). In conclusion, papaya eco-enzyme effectively reduces catfish mortality, although lower dosages and periodic water exchange are recommended to avoid excessive organic accumulation.
