| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Sawi langit (Cyanthillium cinereum (L.) H.Rob.) merupakan tumbuhan herba yang berpotensi sebagai tanaman obat karena mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder, terutama flavonoid. Namun, informasi mengenai perbandingan karakter morfologi dan kandungan flavonoid berdasarkan fase pertumbuhan masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik morfologi sawi langit pada fase vegetatif dan generatif, mengetahui pengaruh organ tumbuhan dan fase pertumbuhan terhadap kandungan flavonoid, serta membandingkan kandungan flavonoid pada setiap organ dan fase pertumbuhan. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik purposive sampling untuk pengambilan sampel pada fase vegetatif dan generatif di Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara, serta metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam kombinasi perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Data karakter morfologi dan uji kualitatif flavonoid dianalisis secara deskriptif, sedangkan data kuantitatif flavonoid dianalisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) pada taraf signifikansi 5% yang dilanjutkan dengan Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sawi langit memiliki daun berbentuk melonjong dengan permukaan atas berbingkul, permukaan bawah kasar, tepi berombak, ujung runcing, pangkal meruncing, batang berbentuk bulat bertipe herba, dan sistem perakaran tunggang. Fase vegetatif memiliki daun yang lebih panjang dan lebih lebar dibandingkan fase generatif, sedangkan daun dan batang fase generatif menunjukkan warna yang lebih gelap. Organ tumbuhan dan fase pertumbuhan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap kandungan flavonoid total. Kandungan flavonoid tertinggi diperoleh pada daun fase generatif sebesar 180,47 ± 6,68 mg QE/g, diikuti daun fase vegetatif, batang fase generatif, batang fase vegetatif, akar fase vegetatif, dan akar fase generatif. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Cyanthillium cinereum (L.) H.Rob. is a herbaceous plant with medicinal potential due to its content of secondary metabolites, particularly flavonoids. However, information regarding the comparison of morphological characteristics and flavonoid content based on different growth stages remains limited. This study aimed to describe the morphological characteristics of C. cinereum during the vegetative and generative growth stages, determine the effects of plant organs and growth stages on flavonoid content, and compare flavonoid content among different plant organs and growth stages. The study employed a survey method using purposive sampling to collect vegetative (non-flowering) and generative (flowering) plants from North Purwokerto District, as well as an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatment combinations and three replications. Morphological characteristics and qualitative flavonoid data were analyzed descriptively, whereas quantitative flavonoid data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a 5% significance level, followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that C. cinereum has oblong leaves with a bullate upper surface, a rough lower surface, wavy margins, acute apices, cuneate bases, cylindrical herbaceous stems, and a taproot system. Plants at the vegetative stage had longer and wider leaves than those at the generative stage, whereas leaves and stems at the generative stage exhibited darker coloration. Plant organs and growth stages had a highly significant effect on total flavonoid content. The highest total flavonoid content was recorded in generative leaves (180.47 ± 6.68 mg QE/g), followed by vegetative leaves, generative stems, vegetative stems, vegetative roots, and generative roots. |
