| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemaknaan melalui pembacaan heuristik, hermeneutik, matriks, model, varian, dan hipogram pada puisi Selamat Tidur dan Laut karya Joko Pinurbo menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Michael Riffaterre. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa teks puisi Selamat Tidur dan Laut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara heuristik, puisi Selamat Tidur merepresentasikan keinginan telepon genggam untuk beristirahat, sementara puisi Laut merepresentasikan rekreasi telepon genggam ke pantai. Secara hermeneutik, Selamat Tidur merupakan perjalanan menuju keheningan bermakna sebagai bentuk kepasrahan melepaskan diri dari kebisingan digital. Di sisi lain, Laut bermakna sebagai upaya mencari ketenangan alam namun tetap terganggu oleh tuntutan kebisingan telepon genggam. Matriks yang ditemukan pada Selamat Tidur adalah regresi, dengan model kalimat telepon genggam mau tidur dan varian berupa regresi agensi, linguistik, pra-linguistik, serta pra-bunyi. Hipogram yang melatarbelakangi puisi ini meliputi fenomena penggunaan SMS tahun 2003, puisi angkatan 45, serta biografi Beethoven. Sementara itu, matriks pada puisi Laut adalah paradoks mediasi, dengan model kalimat sekali-sekali telepon genggam perlu diajak piknik dan varian berupa pemberian objek aktif pada benda mati, batas ontologis teknologi dan alam, pembalikan hierarki subjek, dan resolusi melalui kerentanan. Hipogram puisi Laut mencakup narasi kemajuan teknologi, tradisi puisi lirik alam, simbol laut, serta tradisi kosmologis kondisi sakit. Secara keseluruhan, kajian ini mengungkap bahwa kedua puisi tersebut merefleksikan pencarian ketenangan manusia di tengah kebisingan digital, sekaligus menjadi refleksi kritis untuk menggunakan perangkat teknologi secara lebih bijak. |

Inggris) | This study aims to describe the meaning-making process through heuristic and hermeneutic readings, as well as the analysis of matrices, models, variants, and hypograms of the poems Selamat Tidur and Laut by Joko Pinurbo, utilizing Michael Riffaterre’s semiotic approach. This is a qualitative descriptive study. The research data consists of the texts of the poems Selamat Tidur and Laut. Data collection was conducted using the read and note technique. The results indicate that, heuristically, Selamat Tidur represents a mobile phone's desire to rest, while Laut represents a mobile phone's excursion to the beach. Hermeneutically, Selamat Tidur signifies a journey toward meaningful silence as an act of surrender and detachment from digital noise. Conversely, Laut signifies an attempt to seek natural tranquility that remains disrupted by the clamorous demands of the mobile phone. The matrix identified in Selamat Tidur is regression, with the model being the sentence "the mobile phone wants to sleep, and variants comprising agency, linguistic, pre-linguistic, and pre-sound regressions. The hypograms underlying this poem include the phenomenon of SMS usage in 2003, the poetry of the Generation of '45, and the biography of Beethoven. Meanwhile, the matrix in Laut is the paradox of mediation, with the model being the sentence occasionally, the mobile phone needs to be taken on a picnic and variants including the attribution of active agency to an inanimate object, the ontological boundary between technology and nature, the reversal of subject hierarchy, and resolution through vulnerability. The hypograms for Laut encompass narratives of technological progress, the tradition of nature lyric poetry, sea symbolism, and the cosmological tradition regarding illness. Overall, this study reveals that both poems reflect the human quest for tranquility amidst digital noise, while simultaneously serving as a critical reflection on the need for wiser use of technological devices. |
