Judul ArtikelPENGARUH PENAMBAHAN TEPUNG DAUN WARU DAN DAUN BAMBU TERHADAP KONSUMSI DAN KECERNAAN SERAT KASAR PAKAN DOMBA LOKAL
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study aims to examine the effect of the best dose of Waru leaf flour (TDW) and Bamboo (TDB) on the consumption and digestibility of crude fiber in local sheep feed. The study took place in Dusun II, Datar, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java for 3 months. The material used in this study were 18 male local sheep with an average body weight of 37.18 ± 3.49 kg and aged 1 – 1.5 years. The sheep were placed in individual pens and completely randomized to receive the following treatments: P0 (corn stalk silage + concentrate); P1 (P0 + TDW 2.49 g/kg concentrate); P2 (P0 + TDW 1.87 g/kg concentrate + TDB 0.33 g/kg); P3 = P0 + TDW 1.25 g/kg concentrate + TDB 0.65 g/kg concentrate). Thus, an unequal Completely Randomized Design (CRD) can be used in this study. Treatments P0 and P3 were repeated 4 times and treatments P1 and P2 were repeated 5 times. Concentrate was given as much as 2.8% of the livestock's live weight and corn stalk silage was given ad libitum under controlled conditions. The variables measured were crude fiber consumption and digestibility using the total collection method. The average crude fiber consumption was 0.19 ± 0.05, 0.18 ± 0.02, 0.17 ± 0.01, 0.17 ± 0.03 kg/head/day for P0, P1, P2, and P3. The average crude fiber digestibility was 32.92 ± 10.84, 36.54 ± 3.12, 31.46 ± 5.52, 34.20 ± 7.66% for P0, P1, P2, and P3. Analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on crude fiber consumption and digestibility. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the administration of hibiscus leaf and bamboo leaf flour at the treatment level used was not able to increase crude fiber consumption and digestibility in local sheep.
