| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 merupakan penyakit kronis yang sering menimbulkan komplikasi mikrovaskuler, salah satunya neuropati diabetik yang menyebabkan gangguan fungsi saraf perifer, nyeri, serta penurunan kualitas hidup. Risiko neuropati diabetik meningkat pada pasien dengan durasi penyakit lebih dari lima tahun. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan prevalensi neuropati diabetik serta mengidentifikasi faktor risiko yang berperan, meliputi status gizi, riwayat merokok, dislipidemia, hipertensi, dan gula darah tidak terkontrol pada pasien DM Tipe 2 dengan durasi penyakit > 5 tahun di Klinik Diabetes Melitus RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian yaitu pasien DM Tipe 2 dengan durasi penyakit >5 tahun, dengan jumlah sampel 141 pasien. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji bivariat chi-square dan analisis logistik berganda multivariat. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan prevalensi neuropati diabetik yaitu 80%. Terdapat hubungan signifikan (p<0,05) antara hipertensi dengan neuropati diabetik. Sementara itu, status gizi, dislipidemia, riwayat merokok dan gula darah tidak terkontrol tidak menunjukkan hubungan bermakna (p>0,05). Analisis multivariat mengidentifikasi hipertensi sebagai faktor risiko yang paling berkontribusi terhadap terjadinya neuropati diabetik. Kesimpulan: Prevalensi neuropati diabetik pada pasien DM Tipe 2 dengan durasi penyakit >5 tahun di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo tergolong sangat tinggi, dan faktor risiko seperti hipertensi memiliki peran signifikan dalam perkembangan neuropati diabetik. |

Inggris) | Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease frequently associated with microvascular complications, one of which is diabetic neuropathy, leading to peripheral nerve dysfunction, pain, and reduced quality of life. The risk of diabetic neuropathy increases in patients with a disease duration of more than five years. Objective: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of diabetic neuropathy and to identify associated risk factors, including nutritional status, smoking history, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and uncontrolled blood glucose levels, among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with a disease duration of more than five years at the Diabetes Clinic of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Regional General Hospital. Methods: This study employed an observational analytic design with a cross sectional approach. The study population consisted of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with a disease duration of more than five years, involving a total sample of 141 patients. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test for bivariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis. Results: The results showed that the prevalence of diabetic neuropathy was 80%. A significant association (p < 0.05) was found between hypertension and diabetic neuropathy. In contrast, nutritional status, dyslipidemia, smoking history, and uncontrolled blood glucose levels were not significantly associated with diabetic neuropathy (p > 0.05). Multivariate analysis identified hypertension as the most contributing risk factor to the occurrence of diabetic neuropathy. Conclusion: The prevalence of diabetic neuropathy among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with a disease duration of more than five years at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Regional General Hospital was very high, and hypertension played a significant role in the development of diabetic neuropathy. |
