| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Presbikusis merupakan gangguan pendengaran sensorineural progresif yang sering terjadi pada lanjut usia dan dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup secara signifikan. RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto sebagai rumah sakit rujukan memiliki jumlah pasien lansia yang tinggi, sehingga penting untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien presbikusis di rumah sakit tersebut. Tujuan: Mengetahui karakteristik pasien presbikusis berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, pekerjaan, penyakit penyerta, dan derajat gangguan pendengaran. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan retrospektif. Sampel diambil menggunakan metode total sampling dari seluruh pasien yang didiagnosis presbikusis di Poliklinik THT-KL RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto periode 2022–2024. Data diperoleh dari rekam medis dan dianalisis secara univariat. Hasil: Sebanyak 81 pasien memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pasien presbikusis didominasi oleh laki-laki (60,5%) dan kelompok usia 61–74 tahun (56,8%). Pekerjaan terbanyak adalah petani (22,2%). Penyakit penyerta yang paling sering ditemukan adalah hipertensi (59,3%), diikuti diabetes melitus (12,3%), gagal ginjal kronik (9,9%), dan dislipidemia (7,4%). Derajat gangguan pendengaran terbanyak adalah sedang hingga sedang berat. Rata-rata ambang dengar telinga kiri sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan telinga kanan. Kesimpulan: Pasien presbikusis di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto paling sering merupakan lansia laki-laki usia 61–74 tahun dengan penyakit penyerta, terutama hipertensi. Gangguan pendengaran umumnya bersifat bilateral dengan derajat sedang hingga sedang berat. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Presbycusis is a progressive sensorineural hearing loss commonly affecting the elderly and significantly impairing quality of life. RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto serves as a referral hospital with a high number of elderly patients, making it important to describe the characteristics of presbycusis patients. Objective: To describe the characteristics of presbycusis patients based on age, sex, occupation, comorbidities, and degree of hearing loss. Methods: This retrospective descriptive study used total sampling of presbycusis patients treated at the ENT outpatient clinic of RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto from 2022 to 2024. Data were obtained from medical records and analyzed using univariate analysis. Results: A total of 81 patients were included. Most patients were male (60.5%) and aged 61–74 years (56.8%). The most common occupation was farming (22.2%). Hypertension was the most frequent comorbidity (59.3%), followed by diabetes mellitus (12.3%), chronic kidney disease (9.9%), and dyslipidemia (7.4%). The most common degree of hearing loss was moderate to moderately severe. The mean hearing threshold of the left ear was slightly higher than that of the right ear. Conclusion: Presbycusis patients at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto were predominantly elderly males aged 61–74 years with comorbidities, particularly hypertension. Hearing loss was generally bilateral and of moderate to moderately severe degree. |
