| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Salah satu aspek penting dalam proses pertukaran informasi digital adalah tingkat keamanan data, sehingga diperlukan metode kriptografi yang mampu menjaga kerahasiaan data. Penelitian ini menggunakan kombinasi kriptografi metode vernam cipher dan zigzag cipher dalam proses kriptografi untuk menjaga kerahasiaan data saat bertukar informasi. Vernam cipher dipilih karena sifatnya yang secara teoritis memiliki keamanan yang tinggi, sedangkan zigzag cipher dipilih karena metode ini membandingkan kombinasi vernam cipher dan zigzag cipher untuk menghasilkan tingkat keamanan kriptografi yang lebih rumit serta membuat pemrograman sederhana untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan mempermudah pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi metode vernam cipher dan zigzag cipher mampu meningkatkan keamanan data dibandingkan dengan hanya satu metode kriptografi vernam cipher atau zigzag cipher karena algoritma yang dihasilkan lebih kompleks serta ciphertext yang lebih acak. |

Inggris) | One of the important aspects in the digital information exchange process is the level of data security, so a cryptographic method capable of maintaining data confidentiality is needed. This study uses a combination of the vernam cipher and zigzag cipher methods in the cryptographic process to maintain data confidentiality when exchanging information. Vernam cipher was chosen because of its theoretically high security properties, while zigzag cipher was chosen because this method produces random encryption patterns. This study aims to compare the combination of vernam cipher and zigzag cipher to produce a more complex level of cryptographic security and create a simple program to increase efficiency and to make it easier for users. The results of the study show that the combination of vernam cipher and zigzag cipher methods is able to increase data security compared to only one cryptographic method such as vernam cipher or zigzag cipher cryptographic method because the resulting algorithm is more complex and the ciphertext is more random. |
