| Judul Artikel | PENGARUH POSISI LANTAI KANDANG TERHADAP BODY WEIGHT DAN MORTALITAS AYAM BROILER |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Ayam broiler memiliki siklus produksi yang relatif singkat dan menjadi komoditas unggas yang banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Performanya sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor pakan, genetik, dan manajemen pemeliharaan, termasuk kondisi lingkungan kandang. Pada sistem kandang closed house bertingkat, posisi lantai berpotensi menimbulkan perbedaan lingkungan mikro sehingga dapat memengaruhi body weight (BW) dan mortalitas ayam broiler. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh posisi lantai kandang terhadap BW dan mortalitas ayam broiler di CV Mulya Sentosa. Penelitian dilakukan selama 32 hari pemeliharaan menggunakan 66.000 ekor ayam broiler strain Cobb yang ditempatkan pada tiga lantai kandang (22.000 ekor per lantai). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey apabila terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa posisi lantai kandang tidak berpengaruh terhadap body weight ayam (p>0,05), ditunjukkan dengan nilai F hitung 0,006 yang lebih rendah dari F kritis 3,094. Sebaliknya, posisi lantai kandang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap mortalitas (p<0,05), dengan nilai F hitung 8,76. Uji lanjut Tukey menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan mortalitas signifikan terjadi antara lantai 1 dan lantai 3, di mana lantai 3 memiliki mortalitas tertinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa posisi lantai tidak memengaruhi pertumbuhan BW, namun berpengaruh terhadap tingkat mortalitas ayam broiler. Optimalisasi lingkungan kandang diperlukan terutama pada lantai dengan mortalitas tertinggi. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Broiler chickens have a relatively short production cycle and are a widely cultivated poultry commodity in Indonesia. Its performance is greatly influenced by feed factors, genetics, and maintenance management, including the environmental conditions of the cage. In a multistorey closed house cage system, the floor position has the potential to cause differences in the microenvironment so that it can affect body weight (BW) and mortality of broiler chickens. This study aims to analyze the influence of cage floor position on BW and broiler chicken mortality at CV Mulya Sentosa. The study was conducted for 32 days of maintenance using 66,000 Cobb strain broiler chickens placed on three floors of the cage (22,000 chickens per floor). The data was analyzed using ANOVA with a significance level of 5%, and continued with the Tukey test if there was a significant difference. The results showed that the position of the cage floor had no effect on the body weight of the chicken (p>0.05), as shown by the F value calculated at 0.006 which was lower than the critical F of 3.094. On the other hand, the position of the cage floor had a significant effect on mortality (p<0.05), with an F value of 8.76. Tukey's follow-up tests showed that a significant difference in mortality occurred between the 1st and 3rd floors, where the 3rd floor had the highest mortality. It can be concluded that the floor position does not affect the growth of BW, but it does affect the mortality rate of broiler chickens. Optimization of the cage environment is necessary, especially on the floors with the highest mortality. |
