Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Ubi jalar (Ipomoea batatas L.) merupakan salah satu sumber karbohidrat utama di
Indonesia setelah beras, jagung, dan ubi kayu, serta memiliki nilai gizi tinggi karena
mengandung pati, vitamin, dan mineral penting. Upaya peningkatan hasil dapat dilakukan
melalui penerapan pupuk organik dan biochar sebagai pembenah tanah untuk
memperbaiki struktur, meningkatkan ketersediaan hara, serta mendukung pertumbuhan
tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk organik,
mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi biochar plus, dan mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi pupuk
organik dan biochar plus terhadap kerapatan stomata ubi jalar kuning. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan di Desa Bobosan, Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara, Kabupaten Banyumas dan
Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura, Fakultas Pertanian. Waktu penelitian dimulai
pada September 2024 hingga Agustus 2025. Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial
yang terdiri atas dua faktor kombinasi perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah perlakuan pupuk
organik (0), yaitu O0 = tanpa pupuk organik; O1 = pupuk organik kambing; 02 = pupuk
organik sapi. Faktor kedua adalah perlakuan biochar (B), yaitu B1 = biochar; B2 =
biochar plus POC; B3 = biochar plus azolla. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan
uji F dan apabila berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncans Multiple Range Test
(DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk organik menunjukkan
menunjukkan hasil yang setara terhadap kerapatan stomata ubi jalar kuning. Pada aplikasi
biochar plus juga memberikan pengaruh yang setara terhadap kerapatan stomata ubi jalar
kuning.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L.) is one of the main sources of carbohydrates in
Indonesia after rice, corn, and cassava, and has high nutritional value because it contains
starch, vitamins, and essential minerals. Efforts to increase yields can be done by
applying organic fertilizers and biochar as soil conditioners to improve structure,
increase nutrient availability, and support plant growth. This study aims to determine the
effect of organic fertilizer application, determine the effect of organic fertilizer
application, and determine the effect of biochar application.biochar plus, and knowing the effect of organic fertilizer application andbiochar pluson the density of yellow sweet
potato stomata. This research was conducted in Bobosan Village, North Purwokerto
District, Banyumas Regency and the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory, Faculty of
Agriculture. The research period began in September 2024 to August 2025. A factorial
Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of two treatment combination factors. The
first factor is organic fertilizer treatment (0), namely O0 = without organic fertilizer; O1
= goat organic fertilizer; 02 = cow organic fertilizer. The second factor is biochar
treatment (B), namely B1 = biochar; B2 =biochar plus POC; B3 =biochar plus Azolla.
The data obtained were analyzed using the F test and if there was a significant difference,
it was continued with the t test. Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results of
the study showed that the application of organic fertilizer showed equivalent results on
the stomata density of yellow sweet potatoes. In the application biochar plus also has an
equivalent effect on the density of yellow sweet potato stomata.
