| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk menaksir nilai repitabilitas dan kemampuan produksi melalui nilai Most Probable Producing Ability (MPPA) karakteristik litter size dan lambing interval pada domba Garut . Penelitian dilaksanakan di UPTD-BPPTDK Margawati Garut. Materi penelitian yaitu catatan data induk domba Garut di UPTD-BPPTDK Margawati Garut dari tahun 2018 – 2023. Sampel terdiri dari 65 ekor induk yang memiliki catatan lengkap mengenai jumlah anak sekelahiran dan tanggal beranak dari paritas satu hingga empat. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif statistik serta dilakukan penaksiran nilai repitabilitas menggunakan metode analisis variansi (ANAVA) dan penaksiran nilai Most Probable Producing Ability (MPPA). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rataan litter size paritas pertama 1,74±0,67 ekor, kedua 1,75±0,75, ketiga 1,75±0,73 ekor, dan keempat 1,57±0,68 ekor. Rataan lambing interval domba Garut interval pertama adalah 304,55±34,89 hari, kedua 325,55±69,97 hari, dan ketiga 317,07±47,37 hari. Berdasarkan penelitian disimpulkan bahwa nilai repitabilitas litter size termasuk kategori sedang (0,236±0,051) dan lambing interval kategori rendah (0,015±0,072). Nilai MPPA terbaik untuk karakteristik litter size adalah sebesar 2,1 ekor dengan tag individu 15 066, sedangkan nilai MPPA terbaik untuk karakteristik lambing interval adalah individu dengan tag 15 04 244 yaitu sebesar 326,84 hari. |

Inggris) | The study aimed to estimate the repeatability and production capacity through the Most Probable Producing Ability (MPPA) value of litter size and lambing interval characteristics in Garut sheep. The study was conducted at the Margawati Garut UPTD-BPPTDK. The research material consisted of data records of Garut ewes at the Margawati Garut UPTD-BPPTDK from 2018 to 2023. The sample consisted of 65 ewes with complete records of the number of lambs per litter and lambing dates from parity one to four. The data were analyzed descriptively and statistically, and the repeatability value was estimated using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the Most Probable Producing Ability (MPPA) value estimation. The results of the analysis showed that the average litter size for the first parity was 1.74±0.67 lambs, the second was 1.75±0.75, the third was 1.75±0.73 lambs, and the fourth was 1.57±0.68 lambs. The average lambing interval for Garut sheep in the first interval was 304.55±34.89 days, the second was 325.55±69.97 days, and the third was 317.07±47.37 days. Based on the study, it was concluded that the repeatability value of litter size was in the moderate category (0.236±0.051) and the lambing interval was in the low category (0.015±0.072). The best MPPA value for litter size characteristics was 2.1 lambs with individual tag 15 066, while the best MPPA value for lambing interval characteristics was 326.84 days with individual tag 15 04 244. |
