| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini mengkaji novel Nayla karya Djenar Maesa Ayu melalui pendekatan fisiologi sastra yang menitikberatkan pada penggambaran tubuh dan seksualitas dalam karya sastra. Pendekatan fisiologi menurut Endraswara terbagi menjadi beberapa bentuk seperti seksofisiologi, falosentrisme, libidinal fisiologi dan biofisiologi. Dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menelaah penggambaran tubuh perempuan dan laki-laki dalam tokoh pada novel. Fokus utama analisis terletak pada dua hasil utama: seksofisiologi dan biofisiologi. Pendekatan ini menguraikan mengenai hubungan antara penggambaran tubuh dan pengaruh penggambaran tubuh terhadap seksualitas yang terjadi dalam novel. Ditemukan bahwa penggambaran tubuh mempengaruhi seksualitas dalam novel Nayla karya Djenar Maesa Ayu. Seksofisiologi sastra mengungkap tubuh sebagai aspek utama dalam seksualitas yang berakibat pada munculnya hasrat seksual serta penyimpangan seksual berupa pedofilia dan eksibisionis. Biofisiologi menjelaskan peran tubuh yang indah terhadap dorongan seksualitas dalam karya sastra yang berakibat pada komodifikasi seksual dan stereotip tubuh ideal. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study examines the novel Nayla by Djenar Maesa Ayu through the literary physiology approach, with a focus on the depiction of the body and sexuality in literary works. According to Endraswara, the physiology approach is divided into several forms, such as sexophysiology, phallocentrism, libidinal physiology, and biophysiology. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, this research analyzes the depiction of female and male bodies in the novel's characters. The primary analytical focus lies on two main outcomes: sexophysiology and biophysiology. This approach elucidates the relationship between body depiction and its influence on the sexuality manifested in the novel. It was found that body depiction influences sexuality in Djenar Maesa Ayu's novel Nayla. Literary sexophysiology reveals the body as a primary aspect in sexuality, resulting in the emergence of sexual desire as well as sexual deviations such as pedophilia and exhibitionism. Biophysiology explains the role of the beautiful body in driving sexuality in literary works, leading to sexual commodification, stereotypes of the ideal body and libidinal aspects. |
