| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini menganalisis jenis-jenis tindak tutur dan bentuk kontrol sosial yang dilakukan oleh tokoh utama dalam film Don't Worry Darling (2022). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi; jenis tindak tutur yang digunakan, dan bagaimana tindak tutur tersebut berfungsi sebagai sarana kontrol sosial dalam komunitas fiksi Victory. Data diambil dari tuturan para tokoh dan dianalisis menggunakan teori tindak tutur Searle (1979) serta teori kontrol sosial Black (2010) yang berfokus pada scolding, ridicule, dan ostracism. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat jenis tindak tutur dalam film ini, yaitu direktif, asertif, komisif, dan ekspresif, dengan tindak tutur direktif menjadi yang paling dominan dan sering disampaikan secara langsung. Dalam hal kontrol sosial, ditemukan tiga bentuk, yaitu scolding, ridicule, dan ostracism, dengan scolding sebagai bentuk yang paling sering muncul. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahasa dalam film digunakan secara strategis untuk menegaskan otoritas, memperkuat norma sosial, dan mengatur perilaku dalam komunitas Victory. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman tentang bagaimana dialog fiksi mencerminkan relasi kekuasaan melalui tindak tutur dan strategi control sosial. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research analyzes the types of speech acts and forms of social control performed by the main characters in the movie Don't Worry Darling (2022). The study aims to identify; the types of speech acts used, and how these speech acts function as a means of social control within the fictional community of Victory. The data were collected from the characters’ utterances and analyzed using Searle’s (1979) speech act theory and Black’s (2010) social control framework, focusing on scolding, ridicule, and ostracism. The findings reveal that four types of speech acts appear in the movie: directive, assertive, commissive, and expressive, with directive speech acts being the most dominant and often delivered in direct form. In terms of social control, the three types identified are scolding, ridicule, and ostracism, with scolding occurring most frequently. These results indicate that language in the movie is strategically used to assert authority, reinforce social norms, and regulate behavior in the Victory community. This study contributes to the understanding of how fictional dialogues reflect power relations through speech acts and social control strategies. |
