| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Pityriasis versicolor (panu) disebabkan oleh jamur Malassezia furfur yang banyak ditemukan di daerah tropis. Lengkuas (Alpinia galanga) dan bawang putih (Allium sativum) mengandung senyawa aktif seperti flavonoid, terpenoid, dan allicin yang berpotensi sebagai antijamur. Penelitian ini bertujuan memformulasikan sabun scrub kombinasi ekstrak lengkuas dan serbuk bawang putih serta menguji sifat fisik dan aktivitas antijamurnya. Sabun dibuat dengan variasi basis minyak Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), minyak jarak, dan minyak zaitun, kemudian diuji organoleptik, pH, kadar air, stabilitas busa, dan aktivitas antijamur terhadap M. furfur menggunakan metode difusi cakram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan formula 1 memenuhi seluruh parameter fisik sesuai standar SNI, sedangkan formula 3 tidak memenuhi syarat kadar air dan stabilitas busa. Uji antijamur menunjukkan sabun kombinasi memiliki zona hambat rata-rata 12,53 mm (kategori kuat), lebih tinggi dibandingkan kontrol positif 9,85 mm. Dengan demikian, sabun scrub kombinasi lengkuas dan bawang putih memenuhi syarat fisik serta efektif menghambat pertumbuhan M. furfur. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Pityriasis versicolor is a superficial skin infection caused by Malassezia furfur, which is common in tropical regions. Galangal (Alpinia galanga) and garlic (Allium sativum) contain active compounds such as flavonoids, terpenoids, and allicin with potential antifungal effects. This study aimed to formulate a scrub soap combining galangal extract and garlic powder and to evaluate its physical properties and antifungal activity. The soap was prepared using variations of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO), castor oil, and olive oil, and tested for organoleptic characteristics, pH, water content, foam stability, as well as antifungal activity against M. furfur using the disc diffusion method. The results showed that formula 1 met all physical parameters according to SNI standards, while formula 3 did not meet the requirements for water content and foam stability. The antifungal assay revealed that the combination soap produced an inhibition zone of 12.53 mm (strong category), higher than the positive control at 9.85 mm. In conclusion, the galangal–garlic scrub soap met the physical requirements and effectively inhibited M. furfur growth. |
