Penelitian ini berjudul "Exploring Strategies Translation for Sexual Terms in Sex Education Series". Penelitian ini berfokus pada istilah-istilah tentang seks yang muncul dalam seri Sex Education. Penelitian ini juga berfokus pada strategi yang muncul atau digunakan dalam menganalisis penerjemahan dari bahasa sumber ke bahasa sasaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada kualitas data. Data tentang istilah seks diperoleh dari subtitel seri Sex Education itu sendiri, yang diperoleh dari teori penerjemahan audiovisual. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa istilah seks yang paling sering digunakan adalah kata gaul seks. Hal ini karena film ini menyasar remaja yang sedang pubertas dan sedang mencari identitas serta pemahaman dasar tentang seks. Sementara itu, strategi yang paling sering digunakan adalah transfer. Hal ini terjadi karena seri Sex Education mengandung banyak topik atau percakapan tabu, sehingga transfer (strategi yang sering muncul karena beberapa istilah seks tidak memiliki padanan yang tepat) menjadi yang paling banyak, artinya strategi ini paling sering muncul dalam penelitian tentang istilah seks dan strategi yang digunakan untuk menerjemahkannya. Oleh karena itu, penerjemahan transfer adalah yang paling sering digunakan karena strategi ini menerjemahkan tanpa mengurangi makna. kenapa istilah transfer paling banyak ditemukan dalam menganalisis strategi mengenai istilah sex di series sex education itu karena tidak ada padanan kata yang tepat didalam bahasa sasaran. This research is entitled Exploring Translation Strategies for Sexual Terms in Sex Education Series. This research focuses on what terms about sex appear in the Sex Education series. It also focuses on the strategies that come up are used in analysing the translation from the source language to the target language. This research uses a qualitative method that focuses on the quality of the data. Data on sex terms were obtained from the subtitles of the Sex Education series itself, which were analysed using audiovisual translation theory. This study found that the most frequently used sex terms were sex slang. This is because the film targets adolescents in puberty who are searching for their identity and basic understanding of what sex is. Meanwhile, the most frequently used strategy is transfer. This occurs because the Sex Education series contains many taboo topics or conversations, making transfer (a strategy that often appears because some sex terms do not have an exact equivalent) the majority, meaning it appears most frequently in research on sex terms and the strategies used to translate them. Therefore, transfer translation is the most frequently used because this strategy translates without reducing the meaning. The reason why transfer terms are most frequently found in analysing strategies regarding sex terms in the sex education series is because there are no exact equivalents in the target language.
