Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Budidaya padi di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan berupa kondisi lingkungan, khususnya perbedaan ketinggian tempat, yang memengaruhi karakter agronomi dan hasil panen. Perbedaan ini seringkali menyebabkan ketidaksesuaian antara potensi genetik varietas dengan performanya di lapangan, sehingga menimbulkan kesenjangan antara hasil potensial dan hasil nyata. Beberapa varietas mengalami penurunan hasil di lingkungan yang kurang mendukung, menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan varietas perlu disesuaikan dengan kondisi lokasi tumbuhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ketinggian tempat dan varietas terhadap karakter agronomi dan hasil tanaman padi serta mengetahui karakter agronomi yang mendukung hasil tanaman padi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Agronomi dan Hortikultura Universitas Jenderal Soedirman serta lahan sawah di Banjarnegara (1.050 m dpl) dan Wonosobo (700 m dpl). Rancangan lingkungan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 3 ulangan. Terdapat 2 faktor yang digunakan, yaitu varietas dan ketinggian tempat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketinggian tempat dan varietas menyebabkan perbedaan persentase gabah isi per malai, bobot 1000 butir, umur panen, bobot gabah kering panen, dan bobot gabah kering giling. Jumlah anakan total, jumlah anakan produktif, jumlah gabah total, dan persentase gabah isi merupakan karakter agronomi yang mendukung hasil tanaman padi.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Rice cultivation in Indonesia faces challenges from environmental conditions, particularly differences in altitude, which affect agronomic traits and crop yield. These differences often cause a mismatch between a variety's genetic potential and its field performance, leading to a gap between potential and actual yield. Several varieties experience a decline in yield in less supportive environments, indicating that variety selection must be adapted to the specific growing location. This research aims to determine the effect of altitude and variety on the agronomic traits and yield of rice plants, as well as to identify which agronomic traits support high rice yields. The study was carried out at the Agronomy and Horticulture Laboratory of Jenderal Soedirman University and on paddy fields in Banjarnegara (1,049 m above sea level) and Wonosobo (700 m above sea level). The experimental design used was a factorial Randomized Block Design with three replications. The two factors were variety and altitude. The research findings indicate that altitude and variety caused differences in filled grain percentage per panicle, 1000-grain weight, harvest age, harvested dry grain weight, and milled dry grain weight. Total tiller number, productive tiller number, total grain number, and filled grain percentage were identified as agronomic traits that support rice plant yield.
