Peneliti meneliti penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis struktur berita bentuk representasi dari The Jakarta Post dalam penyajiannya pada Earth Hour 31 maret 2012, pebelajaran pada analisis wacana kritis ”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan medeskripsikan struktur tematik dan skematik dan realisasinya serta teknik dasar persuasi . Penelitian ini membahas mengenai kajian analisis wacana, sebuah kajian tentang analisis wacana kritis. Fokus penelitian ini adalah analisis struktur dan teknik persuasi dalam artikel berjudul ‘Is one hour enough save our earth’. Ini menggunakan teori dari Van Dijk tentang analisis struktur yang dikategorikan menjadi struktir tematik dan skematik serta realisasinya, dan teori Guofan Wan tentang teknik dasar persuasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan menggambarkan simpulan serta penyajian stuktur dan persuasi yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam satu artikel ditemukan 1) Struktur tematik (12 topik), dan struktur skematik (6 kategori); 2) Realisasi dari struktur sebagai teknik persuasi dasar diantaranya asosiasi (2 kalimat), bandwagon (2 kalimat), expert (3 kalimat), explicit claim (4 kalimat), intensity (2 kalimat), maybe (3 kalimat), dan plain folk (1 kalimat). Akan tetapi peneliti tidak menemukan kategori humor dan repetisi, karena teks berikut merupakan teks formal dari berita. |

The title of this research is “The Analysis of The Jakarta Post’s Representation of News Structure in Reporting Earth Hour in 31st March 2012, A Study of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA)”. This research was aimed at finding out and describing the thematic and schematic structure and thematic realization and also basic persuasion techniques that are represented in The Jakarta Post’s article of Earth Hour 2012. This research belongs to discourse analysis study which is a study on critical discourse analysis. It focused on analyzing the structure of news and persuasive technique in the article entitled ‘Is one hour enough save our earth’. It used Van Dijk’s theory in analyzing structure which can be classified into thematic, schematic and its realization, and also Wan’s theory in basic persuasion technique. It used qualitative research design and drew conclusion on the representation of the structures and the persuasive techniques. The result shows that in this article found the news structure; 1) Thematic structure (12 topics) and schematic structure (6 categories); 2) Thematic realization as the representation of this article based on basic persuasion technique such as association (2 sentences), bandwagon (2 sentences), expert (3 sentences), explicit claim (4 sentences), intensity (2 sentences), maybe (3 sentences), and plain folk (1 sentence). The researcher did not find the humor and repetition category because the text is belongs to the formal text. Key Words; Critical Discourse Analysis, News Structure, Representation. |
