| Judul Artikel | EVALUASI KETERTARIKAN IMAGO Spodoptera frugiperda TERHADAP BERBAGAI JENIS PERANGKAP DI TANAMAN JAGUNG |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Spodoptera frugiperda J.E. Smith is a major invasive pest of maize that poses a serious threat to food production. Monitoring adult populations in the field using traps is a key component of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). This study aimed to: (1) identify the most effective trap for capturing S. frugiperda adults, (2) assess the diversity of arthropods caught by each trap type, and (3) evaluate the effectiveness and ecological impact of different traps in sweet corn cultivation. The research was conducted in Mersi Village, East Purwokerto Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency, from January to April 2025, using six trap types: control, yellow and blue color traps, honey trap, pheromone trap, and light trap. Data were analyzed using a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications, followed by ANOVA and DMRT at a 5% significance level for moth captures, and Shannon-Wiener Index (H′) for arthropod diversity. Results showed that the honey trap (P3) was the most effective, capturing an average of 5.75 moths per week. The light trap (P5) ranked second but caught the highest number of total insects (646 individuals), with a diversity index (H′) of 2.60 (moderate category). A total of 23 species from 6 orders were recorded, including pests, predators, and parasitoids. The honey trap showed high selectivity with minimal ecological disturbance, while the light trap posed a higher ecological risk by capturing beneficial insects. Pheromone traps were selective but less responsive in the field. Therefore, trap selection should balance target effectiveness with potential impacts on the arthropoda community. |
