Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Padi merupakan komoditas utama dan sumber karbohidrat pokok di Indonesia, namun produksi nasional cenderung menurun meskipun permintaan meningkat. Kecamatan Karangmoncol, Kabupaten Purbalingga merupakan wilayah pertanian potensial, namun informasi mengenai status kesuburan tanah, khususnya unsur sulfur dan karbon organik (C-organik), masih terbatas. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sebaran sulfur dan C-organik tanah, menganalisis hubungannya dengan hasil padi, serta memberikan rekomendasi pemupukan berdasarkan status kesuburan tanah. Sebanyak 15 sampel tanah diambil pada dua kedalaman 0-25 cm dan 25-50 cm kemudian dianalisis di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan sulfur tersedia sangat tinggi yaitu sebesar 312,8 – 852,6 ppm dan C-organik tergolong sedang sebesar 1,91% – 2,86%. Terdapat korelasi positif signifikan antara sulfur dengan hasil padi, sedangkan hubungan C-organik dengan hasil padi belum signifikan secara statistik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disarankan pemupukan spesifik lokasi dengan penambahan pupuk kompos dan jerami untuk mendukung kesuburan tanah secara berkelanjutan.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Rice is a major commodity and a staple carbohydrate source in Indonesia, but national production tends to decline despite increasing demand. Karangmoncol District, Purbalingga Regency, is a potential agricultural area, but information on soil fertility, particularly sulfur and organic carbon (C-organic), remains limited. This study was conducted to determine the distribution of soil sulfur and C-organic content, analyze their relationship to rice yield, and provide fertilizer recommendations based on soil fertility status. A total of 15 soil samples were taken at two depths: 0-25 cm and 25-50 cm, and then analyzed in the laboratory. The results showed very high available sulfur content, at 312.8-852.6 ppm, and moderate organic C content, at 1.91%-2.86%. There was a significant positive correlation between sulfur and rice yield, while the relationship between C-organic content and rice yield was not statistically significant. Based on these results, site-specific fertilization with the addition of compost and rice straw is recommended to support sustainable soil fertility.
