| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kotoran ternak merupakan kotoran dari hasil pencernaan hewan ternak. Limbah organik kotoran ternak dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik dengan metode pengomposan. Proses pengomposan yang biasanya berjalan cukup lama dapat dipercepat dengan menggunakan bioaktivator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bioaktivator terhadap suhu pada proses pengomposan. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan RAK faktorial dengan dua jenis kotoran ternak dan empat jenis bioaktivator (EM-4, M-21, eco-enzyme, dan Bio Decolizea). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh perlakuan kompos tidak mencapai fase termofilik karena tumpukan kompos yang terlalu. Meskipun demikian, pengomposan tetap berhasil dan menjadi pupuk pada minggu ke-5 pengomposan. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Livestock manure is waste derived from the digestive processes of farm animals. This type of organic waste can be utilized as organic fertilizer through composting. The composting process, which typically takes a relatively long time, can be accelerated by the use of bioactivators. This study aims to determine the effect of bioactivator application on temperature during the composting process. The research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two types of livestock manure and four types of bioactivators (EM-4, M-21, eco-enzyme, and Bio Decolizea). The results showed that none of the compost treatments reached the thermophilic phase due to the compost piles being too small. Nevertheless, the composting process was still successful, and the compost was considered mature and ready for use as fertilizer by the fifth week of composting. |
