| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa pengurus Unit Kerohanian Islam (UKI) FISIP Unsoed terhadap fenomena childfree serta faktor-faktor yang membentuk pandangan tersebut. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teori interaksionisme simbolik dari Herbert Blumer digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana makna sosial terbentuk melalui interaksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar informan menolak konsep childfree karena alasan agama dan budaya. Namun, terdapat juga informan yang bersikap netral atau mendukung atas dasar kesehatan, kondisi psikologis, atau pertimbangan lingkungan. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi persepsi mereka meliputi pengalaman pribadi, lingkungan sosial, pengetahuan, serta nilai-nilai yang dianut. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam komunitas religius sekalipun, persepsi terhadap isu childfree bersifat beragam dan dipengaruhi oleh proses negosiasi makna melalui interaksi sosial. |

Inggris) | This study aims to explore the perceptions of student administrators of the Islamic Spiritual Unit (UKI) at FISIP Unsoed regarding the childfree phenomenon and the factors shaping these views. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Herbert Blumer’s symbolic interactionism theory was employed to understand how social meanings are constructed through interaction. The findings show that most informants reject the childfree concept due to religious and cultural reasons. However, some informants remain neutral or support it based on health, psychological conditions, or environmental considerations. Factors influencing their perceptions include personal experiences, social environment, knowledge, and values held. These results indicate that even within a religious community, perceptions of the childfree issue are diverse and shaped by ongoing negotiation of meanings through social interaction. |
