Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Perlintasan traktor dapat memadatkan tanah, berpotensi menurunkan kualitas struktur
tanah dan menghambat perakaran tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
pengaruh jenis pupuk terhadap tingkat pemadatan tanah akibat perlintasan traktor roda 2 pada
kedalaman 0 – 50 cm setelah 12 bulan, serta menganalisis hubungan antar sifat fisik tanah.
Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 jenis pupuk (tanpa pupuk,
organik (kotoran kambing), kimia (NPK), dan campuran) dan 5 kedalaman tanah
(0 – 10, 10 – 20, 20 – 30, 30 – 40 dan 40 – 50 cm).
Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jenis pupuk, terutama pupuk organik kotoran
kambing dapat menurunkan dry bulk density dan meningkatkan porositas, kadar air, serta
hydraulic conductivity. Semakin bertambah tingkat kedalaman tanah, pemadatan semakin
berkurang. Analisis statistik menunjukkan hubunan linier antar variabel sifat fisik tanah.
Pada 12 bulan setelah perlintasan traktor roda 2, dry bulk density lebih tinggi, sedangkan
porositas, kadar air, dan hydraulic conductivity lebih rendah dibandingkan 0 dan 6 bulan
pengamatan.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Two-wheeled tractor traffic can compact the soil, potentially reducing soil structure
quality and inhibiting plant root growth. This study aims to determine the effect of fertilizer type
on soil compaction levels caused by two-wheeled tractor traffic at a depth of 0 – 50 cm after 12
months, as well as to analyze the relationship between soil physical properties. The study
employed a completely randomized design with four types of fertilizer (no fertilizer, organic
(goat manure), chemical (NPK), and mixed) and five soil depth levels (0 – 10, 10 – 20, 20 – 30,
30 – 40, and 40 – 50 cm).
The results showed that the application of fertilizer types, particularly organic goat
manure, reduced dry bulk density and increased porosity, moisture content, and hydraulic
conductivity. As soil depth increased, compaction decreased. Statistical analysis revealed a
linear relationship between the physical properties of the soil. Twelve months after the 2-wheel
tractor pass, dry bulk density was higher, while porosity, moisture content, and hydraulic
conductivity were lower compared to 0 and 6 months of observation.
