Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh celup puting dengan
iodin 1% terhadap pH dan reduktase susu segar di Kecamatan Cilongok.
Materi dan Metode. Materi penelitian ini adalah susu segar pada sapi perah
yang sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan celup puting iodin 1%, kemudian
dibawa ke laboratorium untuk diuji. Penelitian dilakukan secara survei,
kemudian jumlah sampel susu segar dibutuhkan berdasarkan rumus slovin,
sehingga sampel yang diambil adalah susu segar yang berasal dari 21 sapi yang
terindikasi mastitis subklinis, kemudian sapi tersebutdiberi perlakuan celup
puting iodin 1% selama 7 hari sebelum dan setelah perlakuan celup puting
yang akan diuji pH dan angka reduktasenya. Hasil. Data yang terkumpul
kemudian dilakukan uji t. Rataan hasil uji pH sebelum dan setelah perlakuan
celup puting adalah 6,7 dan 6,8, sedangkan angka reduktasenya adalah 4,19
dan 6,38. Hasil analisis uji t menunjukkan bahwa pH dan angka reduktase susu
segar sebelum dan setelah teat dipping adalah berbeda nyata (p<0,05).
Simpulan. Celup puting iodin 1% dapat meningkatkan angka reduktase dan
meningkatkan pH, namun susu segar tersebut masih dalam keadaan normal
sesuai SNI 2011.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Objective. This study aimed to examine the effect of 1% iodine teat dipping on the
pH and reductase of fresh milk in Cilongok Sub-district. Materials and Methods.
The research materials were fresh milk from dairy cows before and after they
were treated with 1% iodine teat dipping, which was then taken to the laboratory
for testing. The study was conducted as a survey, and the number of fresh milk
samples needed was determined using the Slovin formula. As a result, samples
were taken from 21 cows that were identified as having subclinical mastitis. These
cows were treated with 1% iodine teat dipping for 7 days. The milk samples from
both before and after the teat dipping treatment were then tested for pH and
reductase value. Results. The collected data were analyzed using a t-test. The
average pH values before and after the teat dipping treatment were 6.7 and 6.8,
respectively, while the reductase values were 4.19 and 6.38. The results of the t-
test analysis showed that the pH and reductase values of the fresh milk before and
after teat dipping were significantly different (p<0.05). Conclusion. 1% iodine teat
dipping can increase the reductase value and pH; however, the fresh milk is still
considered normal according to SNI 2011 standards.
