| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Lip cream merupakan produk kosmetik bibir yang banyak digemari untuk memperbaiki atau meningkatkan penampilan. Peneliti memformulasikan lip cream kombinasi umbi bit (Beta vulgaris L.) yang mengandung senyawa betasianin berwarna merah keunguan dan kunyit (Curcuma domestica) yang mengandung zat kurkumin berarna kuning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi ekstrak umbi bit dan kunyit sebagai pewarna alami terhadap sifat fisik dan stabilitas fisik lip cream. Metodologi: Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental. Lip cream dibuat dengan variasi tiga kombinasi konsentrasi ekstrak umbi bit:kunyit sebesar F1 (5%:0,1%), F2 (10%:0,1%) dan F3 (15%:0,1%). Pengujian sifat fisik meliputi uji organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat, uji hedonik, uji iritasi, dan pengujian stabilitas fisik dengan metode freeze thaw. Hasil Penelitian: Ketiga formula lip cream memenuhi persyaratan sifat fisik kecuali pH Formula 3. Hasil uji stabilitas menunjukkan bahwa semua formula lip cream mengalami perubahan warna selama penyimpanan. Kesimpulan:. Variasi kombinasi konsentrasi ekstrak umbi bit dan kunyit berpengaruh terhadap sifat dan stabilitas fisik lip cream. Lip cream yang paling disukai responden adalah formula 3 (15%; 0,1%). |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Lip cream is a popular cosmetic product for improving or enhancing appearance. Researchers formulated a lip cream using a combination of beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.), which contains purplish-red betacyanin compounds, and turmeric (Curcuma domestica), which contains yellow curcumin. This study aimed to determine the effect of varying the concentration of beetroot and turmeric extracts as natural dyes on the physical properties and stability of the lip cream. Methodology: The study was conducted using an experimental method. Lip creams were prepared with three combinations of beetroot and turmeric extract concentrations: F1 (5%:0.1%), F2 (10%:0.1%), and F3 (15%:0.1%). Physical properties were tested including organoleptic properties, homogeneity, pH, viscosity, spreadability, adhesion, hedonic testing, irritation testing, and physical stability testing using the freeze-thaw method. Research Results: The three lip cream formulas met the physical properties requirements except for the pH of Formula 3. Stability test results showed that all lip cream formulas experienced color changes during storage. Conclusion: Variations in the concentration combinations of beetroot and turmeric extracts affected the properties and physical stability of the lip cream. The most preferred lip cream by respondents was formula 3 (15%; 0.1%). |
