TERNAK KAMBING DI EXPERIMENTAL FARM FAKULTAS PETERNAKAN,
UNIVERSITAS JENDERAL SOEDIRMAN, PURWOKERTO
Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Latar Belakang.
Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Teknik pengambilan
Jenderal Soedirman.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)ABSTRACT
This research was conducted to determine the prevalence of trematodiasis, identify the type
of trematode worm, and analyze the use of albendazole in cases of trematodiasis in goats at
the Experimental Farm of Jenderal Soedirman University. This study was carried out from June
14, 2025, to July 3, 2025, at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal
Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The sampling technique used was convenience sampling,
followed by laboratory tests using the sedimentation test and Whitlock's counting method. A
total of 20 samples were collected from Ettawah crossbreed goats. The goat fecal samples
were then examined at the Type B Animal Health Laboratory, Banyumas Regency, both qualitatively and quantitatively using the sedimentation test and Whitlock's counting method.
The research variables observed were the prevalence percentage of trematodiasis and the
type of trematode in the Ettawah crossbreed goats. The research data were analyzed using
descriptive analysis and a T-test. The results of the trematode identification showed that there
was one type of trematode infecting the Ettawah crossbreed goats at the Experimental Farm,
namely Fasciola Sp. The prevalence of trematodiasis in the Ettawah crossbreed goats at the
Experimental Farm was 55% before treatment and 0% on day 15 after treatment. The results
of the T-test to determine the effect of albendazole administration on the incidence of
trematodiasis showed a result of (P<0.05) with a calculated t-value (2.45) > a t-table value
(2.02), which means there was a significant difference between the group before being given
albendazole (R0) and the group after being given albendazole (R15) at the Experimental Farm,
