| Judul Artikel | Potret Konflik Kelas Sosial dalam Novel Elegi Haekal Karya Dhia'an Farah |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potret konflik kelas sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Elegi Haekal karya Dhia’an Farah berdasarkan teori konflik kelas sosial menurut perspektif Karl Marx. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan novel Elegi Haekal karya Dhia’an Farah sebagai sumber datanya.Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori konflik kelas menurut Karl Marx. Marx membagi kelas menjadi dua, yaitu kelas borjuis dan kelas proletar. Dominasi antar salah satu kelas yang lebih berkuasa yang mengakibatkan konflik kelas. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan yaitu pembagian kelas antara kelas borjuis (kelas atas) dan proletar (kelas bawah). Kelas atas (borjuis) direpresentasikan pada tokoh Hanna, Orang tua Hanna, dan Pak Darto, kemudian kelas bawah (proletar) direpresentasikan pada tokoh Jovan dan Tama. Selanjutnya yaitu potret konflik antar kelas sosial tersebut. Konflik pertama, terjadi antara Ketua Yayasan dan Pak Jovan, konflik ini terjadi karena dominasi oleh ketua yayasan sehingga berbuat sewenang-wenang kepada Pak Jovan. Konflik kedua, terjadi antara perusahaan Hanasta dan Tama, konflik ini terjadi karena kekuasaan berada ditangan Perusahaan Hanasta, sehingga Tama hanya bisa tunduk kepada mereka. konflik ketiga terjadi antara keluaga Hanna dan keluarga Jovan, konflik ini terjadi karena perbedaan kelas sosial diantara mereka, sehingga keluarga Jovan ditindas oleh keluarga Hanna. Dari ketiga potret konflik kelas sosial yang terjadi dikarenakan perbedaan kelas sosial dan adanya dominasi dan perbedaan kelas tersebut. |

Inggris) | This study aims to identify the portrait of social class conflict found in the novel Elegi Haekal by Dhia’an Farah based on the theory of social class conflict from Karl Marx's perspective. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, using the novel Elegi Haekal by Dhia’an Farah as the data source. The theory used in this research is the class conflict theory according to Karl Marx. Marx divided classes into two, namely the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The dominance of one class over the other leads to class conflict. The results of the research conducted indicate a class division between the bourgeois class (upper class) and the proletarian class (lower class). The upper class (bourgeois) is represented by the characters Hanna, Hanna's parents, and Mr. Darto, while the lower class (proletarian) is represented by the characters Jovan and Tama. Next is the portrait of the conflict between these social classes. The first conflict occurs between the Chairman of the Foundation and Mr. Jovan; this conflict arises due to the dominance of the chairman, who acts arbitrarily towards Mr. Jovan. The second conflict occurs between the Hanasta company and Tama; this conflict arises because power is in the hands of the Hanasta company, leaving Tama with no choice but to submit to them. The third conflict occurs between the Hanna family and the Jovan family; this conflict arises due to differences in social class among them, causing the Jovan family to be oppressed by the Hanna family. From these three portrayals of social class conflicts, it is evident that they arise due to class disparity and the presence of dominance and differences in social classes. |
