| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengetahui performa ayam niaga pedaging yang dipelihara dengan kepadatan kandang yang berbeda. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam niaga pedaging yang dipelihara di kandang closed house dengan populasi 20.000 ekor dan 25.000 ekor. Ayam yang diamati adalah ayam strain Cobb 500, pengamatan dilakukan di CV Purbaz Farm, Kecamatan Kembaran, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 19 September – 19 Desember 2022. Variabel yang diamati adalah mortalitas, FCR, IP, pendapatan, dan R/C. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diperoleh nilai mortalitas sebesar 2,69% pada populasi 20.000 ekor sementara pada populasi 25.000 ekor sebesar 3,15%. FCR yang diperoleh pada populasi 20.000 ekor sebesar 1,55 sementara dengan populasi 25.000 ekor sebesar 1,48. Nilai IP yang diperoleh pada populasi 20.000 ekor sebesar 340, sementara populasi 25.000 ekor diperoleh IP sebesar 334. Pendapatan yang diperoleh pada populasi 20.000 ekor sebesar Rp. 146.679.929 sementara pada populasi 25.000 ekor diperoleh Rp. 188.729.929. R/C pada populasi 20.000 ekor sebesar 1,22 sementara untuk populasi 25.000 ekor sebesar 1,25. Kepadatan kandang berpengaruh terhadap performa ayam niaga pedaging, tetapi populasi yang terlalu padat dapat meningkatkan nilai mortalitas, pendapatan, R/C, dapat menurunkan nilai IP dan FCR ayam niaga pedaging.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aim of this research is to determine the performance of broiler chickens kept under different stocking densities. The materials used are broiler chickens raised in a closed house with populations of 20,000 and 25,000 birds. The observed chickens are of the Cobb 500 strain, and the observation was conducted at CV Purbaz Farm, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. The research was carried out from September 19 to December 19, 2022. The observed variables include mortality, FCR, IP, income, and R/C. Based on the observations, the mortality rate was 2.69% for the population of 20,000 birds, while for the population of 25,000 birds it was 3.15%. The FCR obtained for the population of 20,000 birds was 1.55, while for the population of 25,000 birds it was 1.48. The IP value obtained from a population of 20,000 individuals is 340, while from a population of 25,000 individuals, the IP is 334. The income generated from a population of 20,000 individuals is Rp. 146,679,929, while for a population of 25,000 individuals, it is Rp. 188,729,929. The R/C for a population of 20,000 individuals is 1.22, while for a population of 25,000 individuals, it is 1.25. Cage density affects the performance of broiler chickens, but an overly dense population can increase mortality rates, income, R/C, can lower IP values and FCR values in broiler chickens.
