| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Manajemen nyeri merupakan suatu komponen penting bagi pasien pascaoperasi. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari berbagai komponen, salah satunya adalah pemilihan jenis anestesi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui perbandingan intensitas nyeri pascaoperasi ORIF ekstremitas superior pada pasien yang diberikan anaestesi general tunggal maupun yang diberi tambahan blok saraf perifer di RSUD Cilacap tahun 2024. Metodologi: Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi analitik retrospektif dengan pendekatan case control study. Selanjutnya, diperoleh data sebanyak 223 pasien dari rekam medis RSUD Cilacap. Kemudian, berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, didapatkan sampel sebanyak 143 pasien. Sampel pada penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu kelompok GA dan kelompok GA-PNB. Selanjutnya, intensitas nyeri pada pasien diukur dengan visual analouge scale. Pengukuran intensitas nyeri dilakukan dalam 24 jam pascaoperasi yang dilakukan pada rentang jam ke-0, 8, 16, dan 24 pascaoperasi. Hasil: Hasil penelitian diperoleh kelompok GA-PNB memiliki skor nyeri yang lebih rendah pada semua waktu pengukuran (jam ke-0, 8, 16, dan 24) dibandingkan kelompok GA. Pada jam ke-0, kelompok GA-PNB mencatatkan skor nyeri rata-rata 3,11 (nyeri ringan), sedangkan kelompok GA memiliki skor lebih tinggi, yaitu 3,89 (nyeri sedang). Pada jam ke-8, skor nyeri pada GA-PNB menurun menjadi 3,00 (nyeri ringan), sedangkan GA meningkat menjadi 5,03 (nyeri sedang). Pada jam ke-16, GA-PNB masih menunjukkan skor nyeri lebih rendah (2,77) dibandingkan GA (4,44). Pada jam ke-24, skor nyeri GA-PNB terendah (2,36) dibandingkan dengan GA (3,33). Rata-rata total skor nyeri selama 24 jam pascaoperasi pada kelompok GA-PNB adalah 2,81 (ringan), sedangkan pada kelompok GA adalah 4,17 (sedang). Kesimpulan: Penambahan PNB memberikan kontrol nyeri pascaoperasi yang baik dan bertahan lebih lama yang berdampak positif pada kenyamanan pasien.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Pain management is a crucial component for postoperative patients. This involves various factors, one of which is the choice of anesthetic. Objective: This study aims to compare postoperative pain intensity after ORIF of the upper extremity in patients who received general anesthesia alone versus those who received additional peripheral nerve block at RSUD Cilacap in 2024. Methodology: This study employed a retrospective analytical design with a case-control approach. Data were obtained from the medical records of 223 patients at RSUD Cilacap. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample of 143 patients was selected. The sample was divided into two groups: GA and GA-PNB. Pain intensity was measured using the Visual Analog Scale at four time points: 0, 8, 16, and 24 hours postoperatively. Results: The results showed that the GA-PNB group had lower pain scores at all time points (0, 8, 16, and 24 hours) compared to the GA group. At hour 0, the GA-PNB group had an average pain score of 3.11 (mild pain), while the GA group had a higher score of 3.89 (moderate pain). At hour 8, the pain score in the GA-PNB group decreased to 3.00 (mild pain), while the GA group increased to 5.03 (moderate pain). At hour 16, the GA-PNB group showed a lower pain score of 2.77 compared to the GA group’s 4.44. At hour 24, the GA-PNB group had the lowest pain score of 2.36, compared to 3.33 for the GA group. The average total pain score over 24 hours was 2.81 (mild) for the GA-PNB group, while the GA group’s score was 4.17 (moderate). Conclusion: The addition of peripheral nerve block (PNB) provides better and longer-lasting postoperative pain control, positively affecting patient comfort.
