| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Masyarakat umum mengenal inteligensi sebagai istilah yang menggambarkan kecerdasan, kepintaran, ataupun kemampuan untuk memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi. Beberapa studi mengidentifikasi adanya faktor prenatal dan postnatal yang berperan terhadap kecerdasan pada masa anak-anak yang salah satunya adalah berat badan lahir. Prevalensi BBLR di Kabupaten Banyumas tahun 2007 sebesar 3,57% yang merupakan tertinggi di wilayah Barlingmascakeb, dan meningkat pada tahun 2011 menjadi 5,1%. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan berat badan lahir dengan tingkat inteligensi siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Banyumas tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi target merupakan siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Banyumas tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Populasi terjangkau merupakan siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Sumbang Kecamatan Sumbang Kabupaten Banyumas tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik probability sampling secara cluster sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi spearman. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara berat badan lahir dengan tingkat inteligensi dengan nilai p sebesar 0,023 (p < 0,05). Kekuatan korelasi (r) berat badan lahir dengan tingkat inteligensi sebesar 0,217 memiliki interpretasi lemah (0,20-0,399). Kesimpulan: Semakin besar kelompok berat badan lahir, semakin tinggi tingkat inteligensi. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Research Background: People in common define the term of intelligence as a term which describes cleverness or problem solving ability. Some researches identify the existence of prenatal and postnatal factors which affect the intelligence of children phase. One of the factors is birthweight. The prevalence of birthweight in Banyumas Regency in 2007 was the amount of 3,57% which became the highest prevalence in Barlingmascakeb, and it increased to be 5,1% in 2011. Research Objective: To find out the correlation between the birthweight and IQ level of elementary school students in Banyumas Regency school year 2012/2013. Research Method: This research is an analytic observational research by using cross sectional approach. The target of the population is the elementary school students in Banyumas Regency school year 2012/2013. The reached population is the students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Sumbang, Sumbang Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency school year 2012/2013 which fulfill the inclusive criteria. The sample collection technique is done by probability sampling technique specified as cluster sampling technique. Spearman Correlation Test is used to analyze the data. Result: There is a significant correlation between birthweight and IQ level which p is in the amount of 0,023 (p < 0,05). The correlation strength (r) between birthweight and IQ level is in the amount of 0,217 which has low interpretation (0,20-0,399). Conclusion: The bigger the group of birthweight is, the higher IQ level will be. |
