| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian dengan judul Peran Konselor Pada Klinik Konseling Berhenti Merokok Dalam Upaya Merubah Perilaku Merokok Pada Masyarakat di Kecamatan Banjarnegara Kabupaten Banjarnegara Tahun 2012, dilatarbelakangi karena perlunya sebuah strategi yang tepat untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari merokok. Adapun tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran konselor dalam menyembuhkan pasien merokok melalui konseling dan untuk mengetahui alasan pasien mengikuti metode konseling untuk berhenti merokok. Dengan mengambil lokasi penelitian di Puskesmas Banjarnegara 1 Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pemilihan informan menggunakan purposive sampling, sementara teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan menggunakan wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa peran konselor dalam merubah perilaku masyarakat yaitu, konselor berperan sebagai “facilitative a comfortable”, konselor membantu pasien melihat secara jelas dan objektif dirinya dan tindakan-tindakannya sendiri, konselor menggunakan perlakuan atau treatment melalui setting peran interaksi, konselor membelajarkan pasien untuk berbuat secara dewasa dan bertanggung jawab serta melakukan self-control, konselor menginterpretasi pesan-pesan yang disampaikan pasien. Alasan pasien mengikuti metode konseling untuk berhenti merokok yaitu karena pasien merasa nyaman oleh konselor yang tidak memaksakan untuk berhenti merokok, memberikan arahan metode yang akan diikuti dalam berhenti merokok, dan pasien dibimbing dalam proses berhenti merokok melalui konseling yang berkelanjutan. Pasien juga merasa cocok oleh metode-metode berhenti merokok yang diberikan oleh konselor. Kata Kunci: Konseling, Konselor, Klinik Konseling Berhenti Merokok. |

Inggris) | Research with the title role of the Clinical Counseling Counselors Quit Smoking Behavior Changes In Effort In Public In Banjarnegara Sub District Banjarnegara In 2012, motivated by the need for a strategy to reduce the negative effects of smoking. The purpose of this study was undertaken to determine the role of counselors in treating patients smoking through counseling and to identify why patients attend counseling for smoking cessation methods. Taking research sites in one district health center Banjarnegara Banjarnegara. The research method used is descriptive approach kualitatatif method. Informant selection techniques using purposive sampling, while the data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, documentation and observation. The research concludes that the role of the counselor in changing people's behavior, namely, the counselor acts as a "facilitative a comfortable", the counselor helps the patient to see clearly and objectively himself and his own actions, the counselor uses treatment or treatment by setting role of the interaction, the counselor membelajarkan patients to act as mature and responsible as well as self-control, counselors interpret the messages conveyed patients. The reason for the patient to follow the method of counseling to quit smoking is because patients feel comfortable by counselors who are not forced to give up smoking, give direction to be followed in the method of quitting smoking, and patients are guided in the process of quitting smoking through ongoing counseling.
