| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang. Simpulan. Gel ekstrak daun nangka konsentrasi 15% memiliki efektivitas paling baik dalam meningkatkan re-epitelisasi. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background. Traumatic ulcer is an oral lesion that is characterized by the loss of the epithelial layer beyond the basement membrane and lamina propria caused by trauma. The success of traumatic ulcer wound healing can be observed through the parameter of re-epithelialization. Jackfruit leaves (Artocarpus heterophyllus.) are known to contain phytochemical compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, and tannins, which are potentially beneficial in wound healing. Purpose. The effect of jackfruit leaf extract gel (Artocarpus heterophyllus) on re-epithelialization during the healing process of traumatic ulcers in the inferior labial mucosa is aimed to be investigated in this study. Methods. A true experimental laboratory study was conducted in vivo using a posttest control group design. This study was divided into five treatment groups: P1 (5% jackfruit leaf extract gel), P2 (10% jackfruit leaf extract gel), P3 (15% jackfruit leaf extract gel), KP (Aloclair® Plus gel), and KN (gel without active ingredients), with observations made on day 7. Re-epithelialization was observe on histological preparations of the inferior labial mucosa tissue using HE staining at 400x magnification across three fields of view. Data were analyzed using One-way ANOVA and Post Hoc LSD test. Results. Significant differences (p<0.05) were found between group P3 and the negative control gel without active ingredients. The 15% concentration gel was not shown to have significant differences compared to the positive control Aloclair® Plus Gel (p>0,05). Conclusion. Jackfruit leaf extract gel at a concentration of 15% is concluded to have the best effectiveness in improving re-epithelialization. |
