Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Industri minyak dan gas membutuhkan sistem kendali yang andal untuk menjaga efisiensi
dan keselamatan operasi. Pada unit Production Separator, parameter seperti tekanan, level, dan aliran harus
dikendalikan secara akurat, disertai fitur keselamatan seperti alarm dan shutdown otomatis. Tantangan utama
meliputi integrasi perangkat keras, logika kontrol, dan antarmuka pengguna secara optimal. Permasalahan
mencakup bagaimana sistem dapat merespons perubahan variabel proses secara real-time, merancang HMI yang
mudah dipahami operator, serta memastikan sistem keselamatan bekerja sesuai standar dalam berbagai kondisi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem kendali berbasis PLC dan HMI menggunakan software EcoStruxure
Machine Expert dan Vijeo Designer. Proses meliputi perancangan logika kontrol, pembuatan antarmuka HMI
untuk pemantauan real-time, simulasi dan validasi. Validasi dilakukan melalui simulasi dan uji langsung untuk
memastikan semua fungsi berjalan sesuai desain. Pengujian mencakup respon sistem terhadap skenario normal
dan darurat, pengaktifan alarm, pengoperasian valve secara manual dan otomatis, serta visualisasi data pada HMI.
Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perancangan sistem ini mampu merespons dinamika proses dengan baik dan memenuhi
aspek keselamatan operasional.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The oil and gas industry requires reliable control systems to maintain efficiency and safety
of operations. In Production Separator units, parameters such as pressure, level, and flow must be accurately
controlled, along with safety features such as alarms and automatic shutdown. Key challenges included the
optimal integration of hardware, control logic and user interface. Issues include how the system can respond to
changes in process variables in real-time, designing an HMI that is easy for operators to understand, and ensuring
safety systems perform up to standard under various conditions. This research aims to design a PLC-based control
system and HMI using EcoStruxure Machine Expert and Vijeo Designer software. The process includes designing
control logic, creating HMI interface for real-time monitoring, simulation and validation. Validation is done
through simulation and live tests to ensure all functions perform as designed. Tests include system response to
normal and emergency scenarios, alarm activation, manual and automatic valve operation, and data visualization
on the HMI. The results show that this system design is able to respond well to process dynamics and fulfill
operational safety aspects.
