| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) knalpot di Purbalingga yang dikenal dengan sebutan Knalpot Braling merupakan sektor industri lokal yang berperan dalam menggerakan perekonomian lokal daerah. Melalui produksi knalpot aftermarket, IKM knalpot tidak hanya membuka lapangan kerja, tetapi juga memperkuat rantai ekonomi lokal. Namun, keberlangsungan industri ini dihadapkan pada kompleksitas dinamika regulasi, sosial, dan ekonomi. Para pengrajin sebagai produsen knalpot berada dalam posisi dilematis; di satu sisi mereka berjuang mempertahankan usaha yang telah menjadi sumber penghidupan. Namun, di sisi lain, kebijakan terkait pelarangan penggunaan knalpot aftermarket dan brong serta perspepsi publik terkait penggunaan knalpot modifikasi menciptakan tekanan yang berpotensi mengancam eksistensi industri. Karya berdurasi 23 menit ini memiliki tujuan untuk menampilkan realitas mengenai permasalahan yang dihadapi IKM Knalpot di Purbalingga terkhusus dalam aspek sosial, ekonomi, dan regulasi. Penciptaan karya ini diciptakan melalui bentuk media film dokumenter dengan menggunakan pendekatan ekspositori yang berfokus pada penyampaian narasi argumentatif dan informatif. Pendekatan ini turut didukung melalui melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi untuk merekam perspektif dari berbagai pihak yang terlibat. Penciptaan karya ini menghasilkan dua output yaitu, film dokumenter dengan durasi 23 menit dan laporan tugas akhir yang membahas mengenai peran video editor dalam proses produksi film dokumenter. Melalui penciptaan karya film dokumenter ini, diharapkan tercipta pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif bagi penonton terkait dengan tantangan struktural yang dihadapi oleh Industri Kecil Mengengah (IKM) knalpot di Purbalingga melalui pernyataan dari pihak-pihak seperti pengrajin, pengguna, masyarakat, perwakilan Dinas, dan Kepolisian yang memberikan pernyataannya terkait aspek sosial, ekonomi, dan regulasi dalam ekosistem IKM Knalpot. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The exhaust small and medium industry (SMI) in Purbalingga, known as Knalpot Braling, is a local industry sector that plays a role in driving the local economy. Through the production of aftermarket exhausts, the exhaust SMI not only creates employment opportunities, but also strengthens the local economic chain. However, the sustainability of this industry is faced with complex regulatory, social and economic dynamics. Craftsmen as exhaust producers are in a dilemma; on the one hand, they are struggling to maintain a business that has become a source of livelihood. However, on the other hand, policies related to the prohibition of the use of aftermarket and brong exhausts and public perceptions regarding the use of modified exhausts create pressure that has the potential to threaten the existence of the industry. This 23-minute work aims to present the reality of the problems faced by exhaust SMEs in Purbalingga, especially in the social, economic and regulatory aspects. The creation of this work is done in the form of a documentary film using an expository approach that focuses on delivering argumentative and informative narratives. This approach is also supported through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies to record the perspectives of the various parties involved. The creation of this work produces two outputs, namely, a documentary film with a duration of 23 minutes and a final project report that discusses the role of the video editor in the production process.about the role of the video editor in the documentary film production process.
