| Judul Artikel | Pengaruh Fortifikasi Mineral Magnesium dan Sulfur Dalam Pakan Terhadap Konsumsi dan Kecernaan Bahan Kering Pakan Domba |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji fortifikasi mineral magnesium (Mg) dan magnesium (Mg)+sulfur terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering pakan domba telah dilaksanakan pada 22 Mei – 17 September 2024 di Jl. Suparto No. 22, Desa Kutasari, Kecamatan Baturaden, Kabupaten Banyumas. Analisis proksimat dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi dan Metode. Materi yang digunakan yaitu 18 ekor domba lokal jantan berumur 10 – 12 bulan dengan bobot badan 24,2 ± 2,2 kg yang dipelihara dalam kandang individu model panggung. Pakan yang diberikan berupa jerami padi amoniasi/JPA (25%) dan konsentrat (75%) sebanyak 4,5% bahan kering dari bobot badan. Metode eksperimental in vivo menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola satu arah (One way classification), terdiri dari 3 perlakuan yang diuji yaitu P1 = jerami padi amoniasi (25%) + konsentrat (75%); P2 = P1 + magnesium 0,005% dari BB domba; P3 = P2 + sulfur 0,83% dari BK pakan, setiap perlakuan diulang 6 kali. Peubah yang diukur yaitu konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering, data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi (ANAVA) kemudian diuji lanjut dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur (BNJ). Hasil. Rata-rata konsumsi bahan kering antara 769,51 ± 7,45 sampai dengan 973,22 ± 5,31 gram/ekor/hari. Rata-rata kecernaan bahan kering antara 66,83 ± 0,98% sampai dengan 70,10 ± 0,06%. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap konsumsi dan kecernaan bahan kering (P<0,01). Hasil uji BNJ menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi bahan kering terendah sebesar 769,51 gram/ekor/hari dan kecernaan bahan kering tertinggi sebesar 70,10% dicapai oleh domba yang diberi pakan tanpa fortifikasi mineral magnesium (Mg) dan sulfur (P1). Simpulan. Fortifikasi mineral magnesium (Mg) dan sulfur dapat meningkatkan konsumsi bahan kering 20,93% jika dibandingkan pakan kontrol, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kecernaan bahan kering pada domba. |

Research aimed to determine the mineral fortification of magnesium (Mg) and magnesium (Mg)+sulfur on the consumption and digestibility of dry matter of sheep feed was carried out from May 22 to September 17, 2024 at Jl. Suparto No. 22, Kutasari Village, Baturaden District, Banyumas Regency. Proximate analysis was carried out at the Animal Nutrition and Diet Science Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materials and Methods. The material used was 18 local male sheep aged 10-12 months with a weight of 24.2 ± 2.2 kg kept in individual cages on stilts. The feed was ammoniated rice straw/JPA (25%) and concentrate (75%) as much as 4.5% dry matter of body weight. The in vivo experimental method used a completely randomized design (CRD) with a one-way classification pattern, consisting of 3 treatments tested, namely P1 = ammoniated rice straw (25%) + concentrate (75%); P2 = P1 + magnesium 0.005% of sheep BW; P3 = P2 + sulfur 0.83% of feed BK, each treatment was repeated 6 times. The measured variables are consumption and digestibility of dry matter, the data obtained was analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) which was further tested with the Honestly Significant Difference test (HSD) test. Results. Average dry matter consumption ranged from 769.51 ± 7.45 to 973.22 ± 5.31 grams/head/day. The average digestibility of dry matter ranged from 66.83 ± 0.98% to 70.10 ± 0.06%. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had a very significant effect on dry matter consumption and digestibility (P < 0.01). BNJ test results showed that the lowest dry matter consumption of 769.51 grams/head/day and the highest dry matter digestibility of 70.10% were achieved by sheep fed without mineral fortification of magnesium (Mg) and sulfur (P1). Conclusion. Magnesium (Mg) and sulfur mineral fortification can increase dry matter consumption by 20.93% when compared to control feed, but has no effect on increasing dry matter digestibility in sheep. |
