| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk tragedi kekerasan terhadap etnis Tionghoa masa Orde Baru yang dapat dilihat sebagai memori kolektif masyarakat Indonesia terhadap masa Orde Baru. Bentuk kekerasan terhadap etnis Tionghoa yang terjadi pada masa Orde Baru dimuat dalam tiga kisah yang tertulis dalam antologi novela Sepotong Kisah Di Balik 98: Cerita Pilihan Okky Madasari. Bentuk-bentuk tragedi kekerasan terhadap etnis Tionghoa dalam tiga kisah tersebut digambarkan melalui narasi-narasi para tokoh yang terlibat dalam peristiwa kekerasan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data ialah teknik simak dan catat. Kemudian, untuk menganalisis data penelitian ini menggunakan model analisis Miles dan Huberman berupa reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bentuk-bentuk kekerasan terhadap etnis Tionghoa berupa penjarahan, penyiksaan, pemerkosaan, dan pembunuhan. Bentuk kekerasan tersebut adalah akibat dari krisis moneter dan tudingan yang mengarah ke orangorang beretnis Tionghoa. |

Inggris) | This research aims to describe the forms of violent tragedy against ethnic Chinese during the New Order period which can be seen as a collective memory of Indonesian society towards the New Order era. The forms of violence against ethnic Chinese that occurred during the New Order era are contained in three stories written in the novella anthology Se “Seangkat Tales Behind 98: Selected Stories by Okky Madasari”. The tragic forms of violence against ethnic Chinese in the three stories are depicted through the narratives of the characters involved in the violent events. The method used to collect data is the listening and note-taking technique. Then, to analyze this research data using the Miles and Huberman analysis model in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research found forms of violence against ethnic Chinese in the form of looting, torture, rape and murder. This form of violence is the result of the monetary crisis and accusations directed at ethnic Chinese people. |
