| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar belakang: Henti jantung masih menjadi masalah kegawatdaruratan. Kasus henti jantung yang berada di luar rumah sakit (OHCA) masih banyak yang belum teratasi dengan baik. Pemberian edukasi kepada masyarakat awam tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) perlu dilakukan agar kasus kematian akibat OHCA dapat ditekan. Usia remaja SMA dianggap cocok untuk diberikan edukasi BHD karena sudah mendapatkan pengetahuan dasar yang cukup dan memiliki ketertarikan terhadap sesuatu yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan remaja di SMAN 1 Purwokerto tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD). Metodologi: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif, cross-sectional design dengan pengambilan sampel metode cluster random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Purwokerto kelas 10 pada bulan Januari 2025 yang terdiri dari 88 responden. Hasil penelitian: Mayoritas responden memiliki umur 15 tahun, berjenis kelamin perempuan, belum mengetahui informasi BHD, dan sumber informasi bagi yang sudah mengetahui berasal dari media sosial. Hasilnya, mayoritas tingkat pengetahuan responden terhadap BHD berada pada kategori cukup (43 siswa atau 48,9%), diikuti kategori kurang (24 siswa atau 27,3%), dan kategori baik (21 siswa atau 23,9%). Kesimpulan: Tingkat pengetahuan remaja di SMAN 1 Purwokerto tentang Bantuan Hidup Dasar (BHD) berada pada kategori cukup. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Cardiac arrest remains a critical emergency issue. Many cases of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) are still not handled properly. Educating the general public about Basic Life Support (BLS) is necessary to reduce mortality caused by OHCA. High school adolescents are considered suitable for BLS education because they already have a sufficient basic knowledge foundation and a high level of curiosity. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge among adolescents at SMAN 1 Purwokerto regarding Basic Life Support (BLS). Methodology: This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and a cluster random sampling method. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Purwokerto, specifically among 10th-grade students in January 2025, with a total of 88 respondents. Research Results: The majority of respondents were 15 years old, female, had no prior knowledge of BLS, and for those who were aware, their primary source of information was social media. The results showed that most respondents had a moderate level of knowledge about BLS (43 students or 48.9%), followed by a low level (24 students or 27.3%), and a high level (21 students or 23.9%). Conclusion: The level of knowledge about Basic Life Support (BLS) among adolescents at SMAN 1 Purwokerto falls into the moderate category |
