Indonesia) | Latar Belakang : Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) adalah kondisi hiperplasia jinak pada kelenjar prostat yang sering terjadi pada pria usia lanjut, yang menyebabkan gejala saluran kemih bawah dan memengaruhi kualitas hidup. Faktor usia, inflamasi kronis, serta penanda inflamasi seperti leukosit dan neutrofil diketahui berperan dalam perkembangan BPH, namun hubungan langsung dengan volume prostat masih jarang diteliti. Tujuan : Mengetahui hubungan antara usia, jumlah leukosit, jumlah neutrofil, dan grading inflamasi prostat dengan volume prostat pada pasien BPH di RSUD Margono Soekarjo. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross-sectional dengan melibatkan 104 pasien BPH yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Data diperoleh melalui rekam medis RSUD Margono Soekarjo dan dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman untuk menilai hubungan antara usia dan penanda inflamasi dengan volume prostat. Hasil : Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara usia dengan volume prostat (ρ = 0,062; p = 0,535). Selain itu, jumlah leukosit (ρ = -0,006; p = 0,952) dan neutrofil (ρ = 0,013; p = 0,892) juga tidak memiliki korelasi bermakna dengan volume prostat. Analisis grading inflamasi histopatologis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar lapang pandang tidak memiliki sel inflamasi, dengan grading inflamasi tidak menunjukkan hubungan signifikan terhadap volume prostat (ρ = -0,029; p = 0,559). Kesimpulan : tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara usia, jumlah leukosit, neutrofil, dan grading inflamasi dengan volume prostat pada pasien BPH di RSUD Margono Soekarjo. |

Inggris) | Background : Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a benign hyperplasia condition of the prostate gland that commonly occurs in elderly men, causing lower urinary tract symptoms and affecting quality of life. Factors such as age, chronic inflammation, and inflammatory markers like leukocytes and neutrophils are known to contribute to the development of BPH, but their direct relationship with prostate volume remains underexplored. Objective : To determine the relationship between age, leukocyte count, neutrophil count, and prostate inflammatory grading with prostate volume in BPH patients at RSUD Margono Soekarjo. Methods : This study employed a cross-sectional design involving 104 BPH patients who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected from the medical records of RSUD Margono Soekarjo and analyzed using Spearman’s correlation test to assess the relationship between age, inflammatory markers, and prostate volume. Results : The analysis showed no significant relationship between age and prostate volume (ρ = 0.062; p = 0.535). Similarly, leukocyte count (ρ = -0.006; p = 0.952) and neutrophil count (ρ = 0.013; p = 0.892) also showed no significant correlation with prostate volume. Histopathological inflammatory grading analysis revealed that most fields of view showed no inflammatory cells, and inflammatory grading did not show a significant relationship with prostate volume (ρ = -0.029; p = 0.559). Conclusion : There is no significant relationship between age, leukocyte count, neutrophil count, or inflammation grading with prostate volume in BPH patients at RSUD Margono Soekarjo. |
