Indonesia) | Bahasa merupakan elemen penting dalam komunikasi sehari-hari yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat penyampaian pesan, tetapi juga sebagai cerminan identitas sosial penuturnya. Film, sebagai bentuk seni dan media komunikasi, tidak hanya merepresentasikan kehidupan sosial, tetapi merepresentasikan identitas sosial tokoh melalui bahasa yang digunakan. Salah satu film yang menyajikan realita kehidupan sosial yang beragam adalah film Yowis Ben 2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemilihan bahasa yang digunakan oleh tokoh dalam film Yowis Ben 2 meliputi alih kode, campur kode, serta variasi bahasa dialek dan sosiolek. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi identitas sosial tokoh film Yowis Ben 2 ditinjau dari pemilihan bahasa yang digunakan oleh tokoh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik SBLC, teknik catat, dan teknik FGD. Data dalam penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis interaktif Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemilihan bahasa yang digunakan oleh tokoh dalam film Yowis Ben 2 dominan berjenis campur kode. Campur kode dalam film ini terjadi karena tokoh berasal dari daerah yang berbeda sehingga kerap kali mencampurkan kode bahasa daerah ke dalam tuturan bahasa Indonesia maupun sebaliknya. Identitas sosial yang paling banyak muncul dalam film Yowis Ben 2 terlihat dari perbedaan etnis dari setiap tokoh. Hal tersebut membuktikan bahwa film merupakan media representasi dari kehidupan sosial sesungguhnya. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi kajian sosiolinguistik, khususnya dalam memahami representasi identitas sosial melalui pemilihan bahasa. |

Inggris) | Language is an important element in everyday communication that not only functions as a means of conveying messages, but also as a reflection of the speaker's social identity. Film, as a form of art and communication media, not only represents social life, but also represents the social identity of the characters through the language used. One of the films that presents the reality of diverse social life is the film Yowis Ben 2. This study aims to analyze the choice of language used by the characters in the film Yowis Ben 2 including code switching, code mixing, and variations in dialect and sociolect language. In addition, this study also aims to analyze the representation of the social identity of the characters in the film Yowis Ben 2 in terms of the choice of language used by the characters. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the content analysis method. The data in this study were collected using the SBLC technique, note-taking technique, and FGD technique. The data in the study were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis. The results of the study show that the choice of language used by the characters in the film Yowis Ben 2 is predominantly code-mixed. Code mixing in this film occurs because the characters come from different regions so they often mix regional language codes into Indonesian speech and vice versa. The social identity that appears most in the film Yowis Ben 2 is seen from the ethnic differences of each character. This proves that film is a medium of representation of real social life. The results of this study are expected to contribute to sociolinguistic studies, especially in understanding the representation of social identity through language selection. |
