| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Karsinoma tiroid merupakan salah satu karsinoma endokrin yang paling umum, dengan insidensi yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Karsinoma tiroid tipe papiler (PTC) adalah jenis yang paling sering ditemukan, dengan prevalensi mencapai 80-85% dari semua kasus karsinoma tiroid. PTC biasanya memiliki prognosis yang baik, namun faktorfaktor seperti usia dan ukuran tumor dapat mempengaruhi hasil klinis pasien. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara usia dengan ukuran tumor pada penderita karsinoma tiroid tipe papiler di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Tahun 2020-2023 Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara usia dengan ukuran tumor pada penderita karsinoma tiroid tipe papiler di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo tahun 2020-2023. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan metode observasional analitik. Data diambil dari rekam medis pasien yang didiagnosis dengan PTC di RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Variabel yang dianalisis meliputi usia dan ukuran tumor penderita karsinoma tiroid papiler. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji statistik chi-square untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel independen (usia) dengan variabel dependen (ukuran tumor pada penderita karsinoma tiroid papiler). Hasil: Dari Total 62 penderita karsinoma tiroid tipe papiler, 31 (50%) merupakan usia <55 tahun dan 31 (50%) lainnya merupakan usia > 55 tahun. Ukuran tumor < 4 cm sebanyak 10 dan ukuran tumor > 4 cm sebanyak 52. Dari uji bivariat yang dilakukan tidak terdapat hubungan antara usia dengan ukuran tumor pada penderita karsinoma tiroid tipe papiler (uji chi square nilai p value 1,00). Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara usia dengan ukuran tumor pada penderita karsinoma tiroid tipe papiler |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Thyroid carcinoma is one of the most common endocrine carcinomas, with an increasing incidence each year. Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most frequently found type, accounting for 80-85% of all thyroid carcinoma cases. Although PTC generally has a good prognosis, factors such as age and tumor size can influence the clinical outcomes of patients. This study aims to investigate the relationship between age and tumor size in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital from 2020 to 2023. Research Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between age and tumor size in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital from 2020 to 2023. Research Method: This study uses a cross-sectional design with an analytical observational method. Data were collected from the medical records of patients diagnosed with PTC at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital. The variables analyzed include age and tumor size in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma. Data analysis was performed using the chisquare statistical test to examine the relationship between the independent variable (age) and the dependent variable (tumor size in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma). Results: Out of a total of 62 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma, 31 (50%) were under 55 years old, and 31 (50%) were over 55 years old. Tumor sizes of less than 4 cm were found in 10 patients, while tumor sizes greater than 4 cm were found in 52 patients. Bivariate analysis showed no relationship between age and tumor size in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (chi-square test p-value 1.00). Conclusion: This study shows that there is no relationship between age and tumor size in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma. |
