Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui populasi hama dan intenstas serangan hama
pada pertanaman berbagai galur padi yang mempunyai kemampuan menghasilkan
protein tinggi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak
Kelompok (RAK), dengan perlakuan empat genotipe tanaman padi berprotein tinggi
(Protani, Protangguh, GN95A, dan GN95B) dan satu genotipe pembanding (Ciherang).
Jarak tanam yang digunakan yaitu 20 cm x 20 cm. Variabel yang diamati meliputi
populasi dan tingkat kerusakan dua hama utama (wereng batang coklat, WBC dan
walang sangit). Pengamatan variabel dilakukan secara sistematik, pada saat masa
vegetatif (WBC) dan generatif (walang sangit). Populasi WBC pada semua genotipe
tidak berbeda nyata. Populasi WBC tertinggi terdapat pada genotipe Protangguh,
dengan 4,4 per rumpun. Populasi walang sangit berbeda nyata pada genotipe yang
diuji, dengan kisaran 2-5 ekor per m2. Intensitas serangan WBC relatif rendah yaitu
kurang dari 0,1% pada semua genotipe, sedangkan intensitas serangan walang sangit
kisaran 10-16%. Hasil panen antar genotipe padi berbeda nyata pada bobot 100 biji,
sedangkan hasil panen akibat serangan hama tidak berbeda nyata.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This research aimed to determine the population and intensity of pest attacks on various rice
lines with high protein-yielding capabilities. It was conducted using a Randomized Complete
Block Design (RCBD), with four high-protein rice genotypes (Protani, Protangguh, GN95A,
and GN95B) and one control genotype (Ciherang). The planting distance used was 20 cm x 20
cm. The variables observed included the population and damage level of two major pests
(brown plant hopper and rice bug). Observations were conducted systematically during the
vegetative (brown plant hopper) and generative (rice bug) phases. The results showed that the
brown plant hopper population did not differ significantly among all genotypes. The highest
brown plant hopper population range occurred in the Protangguh variety, with 4,4 individuals
per hill. The rice bug population showed significant differences among genotypes, ranging
from 11-20 individuals per plot or 2-5 individuals per m². The intensity of brown plant hopper
attacks was relatively low, less than 0.1% in all genotypes, while the intensity of rice bug
attacks ranged from 10-16%. The rice yield among genotypes differed significantly in terms of
100-grain weight, while the yield loss due to pest attacks did not differ significantly.
